The coordinator, Charlotte, is an amazingly sweet and good-natured woman. She had all the best intentions, and she made it clear our experience was her top priority. For a fee of only $200 total, Charlotte consulted with me on my wedding day details a handful of times and attended my ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and spent the entire day helping us to set-up the hall. I'm quite the organized bride, and I walked through all the details of what would be happening / what needed to be done extensively. I'm only providing her three stars because my new husband informs me that our coordinator was (1) late to the venue, and (2) didn't really coordinate anything the day of. He tells me that she was sweet and pleasant, and she took direction well. That's great, but we needed someone who would provide the direction. I.e. We needed a type-A personality to take control, make decisions, and ensure everything ran smoothly. In addition, Charlotte left without saying good bye at some unknown time, which we can only assume was shortly after the ceremony as I never saw her again. My matron-of-honor and my husband did ALL of the actual coordination post-ceremony, and there were quite a few issues to address! The services she provided before the wedding were great, and well worth the money. The day of services, however, need some significant improvement. I strongly feel if Charlotte took the plunge to be a full-time wedding planner, then she would thrive in the field and develop more confidence. I would definitely recommend hiring her for pre-wedding planning. If you want to hire her for day-of-services, then you should spend the extra money and time to hire her to help plan from the beginning. I think the extra time might give her a better foothold on what needs to be done.

In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities.
