Groundworks sent two very professional employees, Joshua Lusk and Garrett Whitford. We received a call to advise us they were on there way and arrived before their start time. Both Garrett and Joshua were very conscientious as they laid down floor protectors (I have white carpets), when they were finished they made sure everything was put back better than before and vacuum the stairs and hallway which showed pride in doing their job well. Lastly they did a thorough walk through, explained what was done and if we encounter any issues to call right away. We highly recommend Ground Works and will use them on our next project. The house I have is not that old, 5 years, but with years of settling and everything houses do there was shifting that needed a little bit extra. I should have written this review 18 months ago, but I didn't. Here is my story. We were afraid our home built in 1912 had foundation issues. A sales rep came out and ran a number of tests and basically told us our south wall needed to be stabilized. He gave us a quote and we took out a Heloc to pay for it. The first issue was he realized he made a $10000 error in the quote. I understand that can happen and we accepted it. When the team came out they found out they needed a different type of support, which require they dig down much futhor than expected. When the job was done we were satisfied. I knew they messed up our sprinkler system, and that wouldn't be covered, but we hadn't been using our system to save water so no problem. Then I started noticing our side yard, where they had to dig deep holes, what totally messed up, big divits, uneven, ect. A year later a rep came out saying it was a SOP follow up. After inspecting the house to make sure it hadn't settled I brought up the state of the yard and he agreed it shouldn't have been left like that and that a team would come to correct it. Bottom line nothing has ever been done and every time I go into that side of the house I see red. If you use this company I make sure to double check the estimate ahead of time, get a second quote, and make sure your yard is put back to your satisfaction before you sign off on the job being done. read more

However Groundworks did respond to my complaints and Greg and Brian from Groundworks to review the issue with the supplemental beam and to offer a resolution. In this case Groundworks is standing by their work and have offered a solution to remove the supplemental beam and provide jack posts to support the main beam. Had to address groundwater issues under my modular as a result of home inspection as house is for sale. Michael came out and provided an estimate for a sump pump system after determining water issues were groundwater related. Not gonna lie, was a little breathtaking. Other estimates came in close or a little lower but I liked the system Groundworks used. I also liked the life time warranty and it is transferable to new homeowners. Based on reviews I researched they appear to be really good at honoring their warranty. He was able to coordinate getting the work done prior to closing which did not give them a lot of time. That was another reason I chose to hire them. The crew that came out, Travis D, Garrett and Beau were awesome. The crawl space under my modular is tight so I know this was not an easy task. Working with Groundworks was a great experience, from the estimator, Sean, and the team who did the actual work, Mike & Aven. They used PolyLevel Foam injection on a porch stoop, a driveway pad, and a stamped patio in order to lift sunken areas. In addition, they injected foam to stabilize the surrounding areas. All cracks and seams were repaired and filled using NexusPro Crack Repair caulking-type material. Finally, they sealed concrete surfaces using SealantPro. For the lifting, they drilled 5/16" holes, carefully spaced, and are almost indetectable. The crack sealant blended in very well. Overall, the results exceeded my expectations. Thank you Groundworks. I scheduled a simple inspection online and received no less than 10 emails and text messages confirming this appointment on the 11th. On the day of the appointment I got an email reminder but the date had changed to the following week the 18th. I called to see if maybe they had rescheduled it for whatever reason but the lady I talked to said I created duplicate accounts and must have booked one online and one over the phone, however I only ever scheduled the one and never called or spoke to anyone till I noticed the date change. She also informed me there wasn't an appointment for the 11th and that I had scheduled the 18th. I did not schedule another appointment nor reschedule anything. I brought up the texts and emails confirming today's appointment on the 11th and the 18th only just popped up today. I suspected it got rescheduled or something came up with the inspector and would have been alright with that but she preceded to insist I had done something to change the appointment. She asked if I wanted to keep the appointment on the 18th but unfortunately that day would not have worked for me. She cancelled it without offering another date or time, looking into what happened to the appointment I originally booked or even an apology that this happened. I did not appreciate the dishonesty and attempt to gaslight me into what may have been a simple mistake on the scheduling end was my fault. All I did was book the original appointment and wait through the confirmation texts and emails for the day to come. After this experience, I will definitely NOT be doing business with Groundworks for my foundation repairs! read more

We call Groundworks Colorado Springs due to some settling issues we had with our sidewalk, driveway and hot tub pad. The response and estimate went good. The price quoted was not bad at all for the amount of work they quoted for. Jaden and Randy showed up to do the work. They were prompt and listened as i asked about what they were going to do. They explained everything and said that they would be able to get the hot tub pad squared away which was a big concern because I couldn't move it. The work was done and everything looks amazing. The guys did a fantastic job and were extremely thorough especially when it came to the finish of it. They didn't just caulk the holes they drilled. They actually filled them back in with concrete to create a seamless look. The caulking job they did on the seems looks great also. In recent years we had some flooding issues in our basement due to heavy rain storms and had Groundworks put in a sump pump along with an internal drain system. Lee, Rick, and Tanner from the CO springs area installed our system as scheduled in two days. Very professional, explained everything to us, started and ended on time, cleaned up everything well before leaving. We had to problem solve some logistics regarding proper discharge that came up and they were great to work with. When a manager came out to see after my complaint, he said recouping any of my money was not possible, but he would bring a crew out the next day to grind the edge down so I could close the garage door. Next day? No manager and two employees came out, but had no idea what was going on. We were very disappointed with the warranty service. After 10 years, the anchors they put in failed (turns out, once we sought the advice of multiple independent engineers, anchors usually fail). Their initial answer was that our foundation wall was tall (I can assure you it did not grow while we have lived here!), and their only answer after months of talking to them was to put more anchors in (again, NOT a good idea based on the independent engineers) or pay them way more money than other companies quoted to actually fix the wall. For those needing foundation work, we've learned from experience to seek out independent engineers and then find a trustworthy company to do the work. We will never use Peak Structural/Groundworks again. read more

"hi it's ______ from groundworks, just wanted to see if you still needed _______". This company/Groundworks works are relentlessly harassing me. I made the grave mistake of accidentally asking for a quote for a repair from a home advisor partnered company and now my phone number and information have been added to their "to harass" list. I get random unsolicited calls at all hours of the day and night from groundwork's, and a bunch of other home repair companies in that home advisor pool. I've tried to have my number removed by contacting home advisor directly (since I never even created an account, they created one for me automatically), and on many of the individual calls. It's been months now, and they're still calling. It's irritating as all hell, and predatory. Please utilize more ethical business practices. Groundworks, you have kindled a new flame in my heart. Something is coming up from deep within me, a depth I didn't know existed until this point. It is now my life's mission to destroy home advisor. I will dance upon the ashes of their ruined empire before I breathe my last. read more
