And never have I made a more detrimental financial mistake that is as bad as choosing ascend to manage my property. While I can't discuss some things in their entirety -- it has been a nightmare, an absolutely gross oversight of their duties that's costing me and there's no end in sight. The staff will not call you, or answer about 60% of emails, the owner thinks it's beneath him to reach out personally to try and be helpful. Money has been lost and mismanaged 2-3 times now and no single month feels consistent. I never know what's happening with my home, the condition of it, and now I'm getting hit with legal fees and have a lien on my property from the delinquency of Ascend not have utilities properly switched. If you're an ascend client- check your ledgers carefully. If you're not--- run don't walk. Now I'm being threatened by them with retaliatory billing practices because I am not keeping quiet anymore , try any other company besides them.

I was hired for a restoration project in Portland, and upon finding severe hidden damage, the GPM project manager explicitly directed me to complete extensive out-of-scope work with the promise of full compensation. After I put in hundreds of hours of labor, GPM refused to honor their verbal directives and tried to hide behind the initial flat-rate quote. I was forced to file a Mechanic's Lien and a civil lawsuit just to get paid. Ultimately, GPM refused to take financial responsibility for the work they ordered. The distressed property owner had to step in and pay me thousands of dollars directly out of his own pocket to clear the title to his building. Don't hire GPM as your property management company! They do NOT have your best interest! If you do contract work for GPM, do not lift a hammer without a signed change order! Even then.....beware! Dishonesty in the ranks is enabled from the top.

When we were trying to set down a time to see the home, we were told there was an open house that coming weekend. We thought this was strange since there had been no one else interested in the home. This information was given to use on a Tuesday. The following day, after trying to reach Alex again and schedule a tour of the home before the open house, we received a response with a simple "this home has been rented". Mind you there was no phone call,although it was given to him, only emails were exchanged. We are extremely disappointed in how unprofessional our interactions with Alex were.
