The light under my cabinet came loose. I sent in a work order on July 2nd to re-attach it. They never gave me a notice. They called on July 16th, two weeks later, in the morning when I was in a meeting. No voicemail. I reached out after and they met me at my place. The job took under 10 minutes. They charged me 2 hours at $90 per hour plus mileage and a fuel cost. The full bill came to $200 for two screws. I called to inquire and I have been passed around to multiple people with no answer. The receptionist is amazingly rude and unhelpful. Stay very clear if you can. read more

Male owner seemed very nice. I've heard that his men do good work. Then he tried scare tactics on me. He claims to be a Christian but isn't a good one, for sure. Here are a few texts he sent me: Stalking??? "I see you at house no one is there currently " General bizarre behavior And pressure tactics: "I lot you wanted us to work with ken to get this job done? I see you are back advertising" "Hmmm my team Said you were advertising on fb for someone again" I have never given this man my Facebook username, nor did I advertise for HIM on FB. Pressure tactics: "It's ok if you are I just have limited time and if I am gonna fight with ken to get you more $ I want to make it worth while" As far as I can tell, he has never contacted Ken the insurance assesssor. I have been doing that myself. This is not the first time that a contractor has tried coercion on me and I do not appreciate it. I am a disabled woman in middle age, with my first home, making me an easy target. Ladies, if someone says anything remotely sketchy, they ARE. I along with several other clients have dealt with quite a few issues stemming from their negligence and lack of communication as well as motivation to help in any way. Beyond there obvious lack of care for there clients, Problem solving is not there strong suit. There employees are very shady and highly motivated to do everything but there job. when brought to the company's attention they refuse to hold there employees accountable. I personally reached out to the president of this company Mr BOB KEEGAN and I explained the issues I along with other clients were having with his employee PAULA BEYER. after our conversation he assured me he would get to the bottom of the issues. I left a half dozen voicemails after that conversation before he returned my call. I've tried to contact a member of this company who is in charge of leasing a property in Portland. I've left three voicemails over a 7+ day span. A friend has called and my girlfriend has done the same. This employee, Brendan or Brandon, seemingly doesn't care, bother, or have the time to reply and answer any questions regarding a property he supposedly is managing. Worst of all despite the complete lack of info from that employee none of the other property managers at this company can provide help or refuse to help. My only regret is I can't give this business zero stars. read more

Any maintenance issues that I've had were addressed promptly and courteously. Communications with the office and condescending and rude, rent gets lost even when hand delivered, they send access notifications like "in the next couple of weeks someone will be by at some point and will access your unit" - that is just one example; I've walked out of my shower and had strangers in my apartment!!! After some run around, set up a showing for 4pm on a Monday with Alisha. On Friday, received a call from her confirming the showing for 530 on Monday. I clarified that we are set up for 4. We arrived at the property on Monday for the showing at 4. At 4:15, there was still nobody there to meet us. We called the office and they said they will send someone right over. At 4:50, still nobody there, we called again and notified them that we had to leave. Alisha returned our call on Tuesday and we were told that we never had an appointment and they had no record of us being scheduled to see the condominium. Very unprofessional and unorganized, would not let them manage a property of ours and will avoid using them for rentals in the future. read more

Over the years my husband and I have leased three properties through Dirigo Management Company, and they've consistently provided first-rate property management services for our rentals. Managers and staff are just great--very friendly and helpful. Whenever you have an issue, response times are extremely fast, and any concerns are dealt with competently. I really like that the company conducts regular equipment maintenance checks to keep your unit's heating/cooling/hot water, fire alarm system and appliances in top working order. Company management also makes sure buildings are kept clean and the plowing and waste removal services arrive on schedule. Dirigo has a modern communication network in place that gives tenants multiple ways to contact the office. When I recently had a minor issue in our loft, a maintenance person arrived within hours - which was impressive considering I'd only made the appointment that same morning. Overall, our experience with Dirigo Management Company has been terrific. read more

This company has some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. They authorized a bunch of cars of owners at a location they manage to be towed following a snow storm. I recently moved into the complex and was not notified in any way of the towing policy following storms if your vehicle remains in the lot after 10 AM the day after a snow storm. The only notification warning of possible towing was sent via e-mail less than 24 hours prior to the ban and another e-mail shortly before 10 AM the day of the ban (of which I saw neither in time). They never gave a courtesy call to any of the condo owners that were towed prior to towing them. They also refused to refund towing fees which were in excess of $200.00 for myself and for all other members of the condo association. As someone who works in a customer service industry, this is some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed in any setting. I will plan to attend condo board owner meetings in the future and recruit other members who are dissatisfied to make sure this company's lease is not renewed to manage our building in the years to come. read more

They are extremely quick to respond, easy to reach, and happy to help with any questions or issues. The building is gorgeous, newly renovated, and I really have never had any problems. I moved in in April, and the property manager at the time did a complete assessment of the move-in condition and things that needed to be fixed right away. It was not cleaned or painted. Four months later, there is a new property manager and she's using the power of her 24hr notice to gain access tomorrow, without my permission, to fix a window that's been broken for probably years. They cannot locate any photos of the damages already present when I moved in. Rude, over-talking, bullying staff. I have a feeling they conveniently lost the assessment and the photos, so they can keep my security deposit. Nice location, and I'd buy a unit if I had any confidence in this mgt company, but right now, I'll be glad when my lease is up. Feel bad for the owners. I'm sure they have no idea. read more

They manage our condo association, and I can say this is the absolute worst management company. The property managers completely ignore you and do not respond. It's been a week, I've sent several emails, no responses. I've called....the receptionist comes back on the phone and puts you into voicemail instead of them taking your call. They manage a lot of the buildings in Portland Maine. And definitely should be avoided. I lived in an older building in the area and the location is great in general - close to restaurants. However, it was fairly noisy. The building super is awesome too. However, the actual property managers are awful. They never respond to phone calls/maintenance requests. There are days with too much heat in the summer and too little heat in the winters. The washers and dryers don't work more than 50% of the time.They also verbally say things that contradict with your lease. They will do anything to get you to sign the lease and then good luck. So be careful. read more

The signage regarding parking at a Dirigo managed property was misleading and and inaccurate. They contracted with a towing company that towed us on Easter Sunday 3 hours before the stated 11 PM deadline. The company tried to enlist our help getting another vehicle towed by asking us to report on whether or not the driver left the vehicle. Although the company instructed us to give them 10 minutes notice of our arrival at the impound lot they, we were left sitting in the deserted lot in freezing weather for 25 minutes. Dirigo took no responsibility for this unprofessional experience. Those with whom Dirigo contracts are a reflection of its corporate values. read more
