Lodgis - Modern living room in a Paris' apartment offered by Lodgis

And they majorly majorly overcharged us. Avoid at all costs. .

At first, I was pleased with them, because they've found me an apartment to rent in Paris. But problems started to occur immediately. Upon entering the apartment, it turned out they hadn't fixed any of the faults pointed out to them in advance. They did it only after I sent a second request. During my 2+ years of stay in the apartment, my customer representative changed at least 5 times. In none of those instances did I receive an update regarding it. I've always found it out when trying to contact my representative and then receiving a reply that she is no longer my representative and that there's a new one (the last one - Romane Vasseur - couldn't even talk English on the phone, only write it in Email. But she was actually the most efficient of them all). Besides Romane, all of the representatives were hard to reach. In case of need, they would not reply to an Email until at least the third or fourth inquiry. One of them, Carole Charuel, ignored five messages, but when I CC'd her manager, Alexis Alban, on the sixth, she replied within a few minutes. When they were finally up to handle a problem, it would take them a long time, even if it was urgent. And they would do it in a clumsy, inefficient way. For example, when the apartment's microwave stopped working, they bought a new one, though I suggested they send an electrician first to check the socket. It turned out the original microwave was just fine - the socket was faulty. They just wasted time and money on a new Microwave. There was also a time when a worn-out or broken part of the toilet water container had to be replaced, and they claimed it's my responsibility to do so, not theirs. One client representative (Pascale Idee, who definitely was the worst one) was late for a video call we scheduled. She then also cut it short, despite me saying I still had issues to discuss, and left with "If there's anything else - E-mail my manager (Alexis Alban)". I did, but of course, didn't receive any reply. She also gave me the wrong details of the apartment's Internet account, so when it went down and I called customer support, they couldn't recognize the account based on the details I provided, which left me offline for a long time - a major problem, as I use the Internet for my work. And finally, not surprisingly, after I left the apartment, they took money from my deposit to compensate for made-up lacks, like an electronic cattle that was never there (there was an out-of-order one that I haven't touched). Lodgis's service repeatedly baffled me with its lack of professionalism, decent service, and treatment of paying clients. So, I strongly suggest NOT using Lodgis' service, which is amateurish, unprofessional, unattentive, unreliable, and impolite. Beware.

Paris Attitude I…read morehave sublet 19 Paris apartments since 2009, 8 of them through Paris Attitude and have never had a serious complaint until now. From my 2,150.50€ security deposit for the 18 Rue Lamarck apartment I leased from May 15 until June 15, Paris Attitude withheld 858.50€--this based on the hearsay claims of the owner rather than the contractual terms of the rental agreement. The rental contract states that: If the condition of the property report and departure inventory conforms to those drawn up on arrival, the security deposit shall be returned within one month of the Tenant's departure, after deduction of any duly justified deductions. In spite of Paris Attitude's "one month" promise, it took them 63 days to respond to my repeated inquiries about the deposit. Finally, on August 18 I received an email claiming that I left scratches on the kitchen countertop, a broken tile inside the master bedroom shower, and the apartment "not cleaned." None of these claims are true. Neither were they documented in accordance with the terms of the rental contract. The apartment was left in excellent condition when we departed. My wife and I kept the apartment clean at all times, carpets vacuumed, floors swept, dishes washed, toilettes scrubbed, etc. My wife even watered the plants and trimmed off dead leaves. I swept the apartment's two balconies, and mopped them to remove bird droppings. On top of this, we spent our entire last day cleaning and laundering. The housecleaning issues listed in the "departure inventory" are trivial things that we could not have attended to: lime buildup in sinks and toilets, a small uncleaned fan (?) and sofa covers that I've never before been expected to launder. No scratches were visible on the kitchen countertop when we left. I wiped every inch of it down on our last day and saw no such damage. Neither were any reported by the woman who checked us in, or, most importantly, by the young man who conducted the departure inventory. The symbol BE in his closing assessment of the countertop (copied below) translates as: "The coating or element is not new but is in good condition." My first sixteen working years were in kitchens. Now 71, I have never damaged a countertop with a knife or any other object. It seems absurd to suppose that I or any of the adults who stayed with me would have done something so careless--especially since we had ample cutting boards. Though the damage to the shower was not noted in either the initial or closing inventories, we did observe what Paris Attitude reported, a small hole in the tile near the shower door (about 2 to 2.5 mm wide). Such tile damage could only be due to blunt force--say a hammer or other hard and heavy object. We had access to nothing suitable for creating such damage during our stay. If there were any tools in the apartment, they were, like most of the owner's possessions, locked inside cabinets. And why would we? It is absurd to suppose that two elderly people who only entered this space to shower could have done this, either accidentally or on purpose. I should add that we were not able to enter the shower during the check-in and for some hours after because a plumber was working inside it. Nor did we use the shower or the adjoining toilet for several days after, due to a bad smell and water leaking in under the toilet. These accusations are as troubling as they are unreasonable. I have been warned continuously over the years of the pickpocketing danger in Paris, but never of outright theft. Aug. 24, 2026 This is in response to Paris Attitude's Celia D: Celia D. Your response to my Yelp posting merely admits to the outrage I have charged against Paris Attitude. Your rental contract states that damages will be assessed based on the "property report and departure inventory." They were not. Your claim that the damage was verified by someone else after the departure inventory was complete and signed by me is utterly irrelevant--mere hearsay. Why even conduct these inventories if they are to have no bearing upon the security deposit? A defendant in a French court of law would be entitled to see the evidence against him. But I was not. Still, no proof of these damages has been offered to me, and I am the one who has to pay for them. You merely concede what I have alleged: that Paris Attitude, in obvious collusion with Mme Gantzer, has disregarded the contractual agreement I signed last year. The 'attitude' in Paris Attitude is obviously 'screw the customer.'
