I Paid $3,750 -- and Was Told I Couldn't Get My Blood Test Results Without Renewing" I joined Physimed a year ago, paying $3,750 for what I believed would be comprehensive, attentive private medical care. The doctor was pleasant enough, but as the months went by, I found myself wondering what--of what I actually needed--was ever done. The answer, unfortunately, is very little. My primary issue is chronic hip pain from bilateral hip replacements performed over a decade ago. Physimed's own description of services mentions access to orthopedic specialists. Yet, when I raised the issue, I was told I needed to deal directly with the hospital that had done my surgeries. A requisition for consultation was sent out nine months ago. Nothing. Last week, the same requisition was sent again. Then came the moment that truly shocked me. After going in for routine blood tests, the receptionist handed me a contract renewal for another year, which I hadn't been told about and hadn't expected. When I said I didn't have a credit card with me, she became visibly upset, called someone, and then told me that if I didn't call back that afternoon with payment information, I wouldn't receive my test results. When I later called to discuss the deplorable treatment , I pointed out that I was still within my 12-month contract. The administrator simply dismissed it, saying it was my "annual check-up" and adding bluntly, "we're running a business." That phrase said it all. For $3,750, I expected a level of professionalism, continuity, and care that reflects the premium Physimed charges. Instead, I left feeling coerced, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. I consulted Dr. Yann Azoulay in October. He found, among other things, that my blood pressure was high. He recommended that I be fitted with a medical device (offered by his practice, Physimed) that would measure my blood pressure continuously for 24 hours, which I promptly agreed to do and paid for in full in addition to the cost of my physical exam. When I called Physimed for my results, I was instructed by the medical receptionist to send an email to the doctor, which I promptly did. Dr. Yann Azoulay has yet to share the results of the diagnostic testing that he recommended despite my repeated attempts to obtain those results. I am deeply disappointed by the poor quality of medical care that I received. read more

every appointment is at least 45 minutes late regardless if you arrive early or not. Front desk acts like you are bothering them.

They give complete physicals for 500-800 dollars but if you dont keep giving them money they are useless. My wife was in a minor car crash a few months ago and asked for a doctors appointment because she had some pains (and was pregnant)- was told that she would have to wait 6 weeks- the receptionist told her- because she had not paid for a 500 dollar physical in 3 years!?! She had seen her doctor last year and paid for other tests- but I guess she was not meeting their revenue requirements for fast service.. Thanks Physimed we won't be back! read more

Don't bother wasting your time. They changed their walk-in system, to booking online, so if you don't already have a family doctor, you can't schedule the day before. By the time you CAN schedule there are no places left. If you don't have a family doctor here you will not be seen. If you somehow are able to get a consultation they make you wait and see a nurse, then it could be hours before you get to see the actual doctor. read more

Been going here for years. A bit out of my way, but it's worth the detour. You have everything in one building. The staff is nice, there's a place to get your meds on site if need-be, super clean. THere's also a walk in clinic which is not as long a wait as other walk in clinics. read more

Here on a Saturday, November 4,2017 and appointments are made night before. All 4 of us patients are here, no doctor. Told she's not here yet. Dr. Shi. Hasn't bothered to show up till 9:20am. People had appointments for 8-8:30. Told me to come at 9:15 for 9:30 appointment and she isn't here yet. Pathetic. We have to be on time and she strolls in like a Sunday morning. what else can you ask for from a clinic location is great my doctor is awesome and plenty of parking i've been to the walk in clinic quite a few times and all the doctors were good. they use computers so all your medical records are there for doctor to see. there is a pharma and radiology in the same building accross the hall. everything you need to cover most of your immediate health needs place is nice too not a dump like some other clinics i have been to read more

I was at the clinic today to ask some information about my blood test which I was worried about and I was told by the doctor that I should not come for such petty reason. My blood result were in since early August but I still have to wait until September 24 to have my results because to get an appointment with my doctor takes at least 5 to 6 weeka. They make you sign up for medical check up to pay 500-600$ each person with promising that you will get family doctor, but this is not a reality. I was trying to book an appointment two months after my check up and was told that I can see doctor in 1.5 months and they told me that I can visit there walk-in and wait few hours then whats the point to have file there ??? I used to go to Physimed for my annual blood tests, but gave up on them 3 years ago, as the wait for the receptionist to figure out the tests required by my family doctor (which were prescribed on a different type of form than the one used by the doctors at Physimed) and calculate the price took at least 20 minutes. I decided to give them another chance this year and they completely blew it. I had an appointment for a test at 7h30, arrived at 7h20. At 8h00, I was still inline to pay for the test. We pay hundreds of dollars for these tests and they keep us waiting with a complete diregard for our time...and our money, which obviously they do not need. Just go to another clinic, there are several of them in the area (Clinique Médicale Bois-Franc, Services d'urgence St-Laurent, etc.). read more

They will give you appointment for general check up right away, for 500-800 $, on the other hand is hard to impossible to get an appointment with your doctor when you need, at least 2 months of wait, no follow up. Rude and unprofessional receptionists, your doctor spends only a few minutes with you after you spend hundreds of $ on tests and wait of weeks to months Not to say that their fees are pretty high. Stay away unless if you want to be treated as in public health when you pay for private services. read more

A 1 star is even too generous for this clinic! Apparently my 600$$ annual check up doesn't pay enough of their bills to treat me like a client should be treated!! With a cracked TMJ I had to call my family doctor to make an appointment. Not only was he booked for 3 months but I would have to call back or go to the walk-in clinic. With no other choice I came to the walk-in with a 3-4 hour wait time.... It's been over 5 1/2 hours and I'm still waiting! My supposed family doctor refused to take me even though he is here today. I was generous enough to let them know of their current reviews... They don't even care...after today I'm DEFINITELY looking for another doctor! read more

My husband and I have been going to Physimed for 5 years now. We have paid for the checkups ($$$) and "thought" it was worth it because if there was ever an emergency that we would be able to see our doctor (get an appointment within the week). We were fortunate that there were never any health issues with us in the past. Our last appointment was in Jan 2014 and everything was fine. Today (May 28) we tried to get an appointment with our doctor, and the Physimed girl on the phone was not pleasant, and we were unable to get an appointment within the week or month. The next appointment available was in July. We asked to see another doctor and were again refused. Not sure why. Normally I would say you get what you pay for....but in this case Physimed makes promises they can not keep. Keep your money and try another overpriced clinic. read more

My review concerns only the general medicine clinic. I had a great experience with the Kinatex clinic on site... At the end of my last "annual checkup" the receptionist booked my next appointment for exactly one year later. I did not receive a reminder call so I thought I would call them to check and it turns out all the appointments they made last year were cancelled and had to be rescheduled. The receptionist said I should have been called and when I told her I was not she gave no apology or anything. The worst part of it all is that I called roughly 2 months prior because I wanted to see "my doctor" but I was told they didn't have his schedule yet but it would probably be at least 6 weeks before I could get in - BUT I'd have to call back. I was disgusted at that response but decided just to wait until my annual appointment. Now that my annual appointment was cancelled without notice I will have to wait at least another 6 weeks! I'm looking around for somewhere else to go. read more
