I recently moved to the area and was amazed to discover that my new local library just happens to be the best library I've ever been to. The selection of books is excellent and the children's section is wonderful. But they go above and beyond in so many areas; They have a great selection of the normal fare movies, audio books, and magazines. But you can also play and check out board games, graphic novels, telescopes, and fishing rods. They have a teen area. Study areas. A bookstore, where you can find great prices. And they have a cafe. Visit and support this gem of a library!

They have a good selection of movies and audio books which I enjoy. I also like the free community events like the recent Mother's Day craft and the Lunch and Learn talks. They host tons of events, and when I'm less busy in summer, I enjoy attending the adult craft events. Last summer I even went to the children's exotic animal exhibit because I'm a kid at heart who loves animals. Staff are very kind. And I use my library card most for the Libby app and hoopla app to rent books and audiobooks electronically. There is always something going on and a great selection of books. Take your kids! No one can enjoy themselves with the Karen working, and it honestly ruins the entire experience of a library. Secondly, no where in the policy or guidelines does it state that people can't sit at the back of the library, but yet today while I was sitting there, a police officer pulled up and told me that a librarian had called the police and said I needed to move. A very Karen-like move for a certain librarian to pull off. I had to grab my things and move to the front of the library, just because a librarian woke up this morning and decided she wants to be a Karen today.

My visit started out fine. A kind employee helped me locate a pencil sharpener. However, around…read more4:30 pm today, an EMS crew with a stretcher hovered around a woman sitting at a computer. She hadn't been bothering anyone, making sounds, or causing any issues. She was just sitting there. They proceeded to ask her questions about how she was feeling, what day it was, etc. She was talking coherently but the three EMS employees and a library employee had her circled for at least 15 minutes after taking her vitals and wouldn't leave her alone. Obviously I don't know what happened. But I saw them wheel her into the ambulance. Beware if you're having an off day, or act a little eccentric. You may end up taking a thousands-of-dollars little ride if you don't answer questions to someone else's liking. Disturbing and uncalled for.
