I stopped here for a quick drink. I kept seeing variation of cinnamon plum so I ordered that. The drink was OK. It's like flavored milk. The staff was quick. There's free parking outside. There's also an outdoor area with tables and chairs. This is a great place for those who want to study or have a small get together. There was actually a small group of what looks like a book club while I was waiting for my drink. There's also a corner of various books and toys for young children. Overall, it was OK . I've been coming here since they opened and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and drinks. The breakfast foods are some of the best in town, especially the breakfast burrito. It's clear that they use a variety of healthy ingredients in their foods and you can tell everything is made fresh. Don't expect lighting fast service but you really can't have ultra fast and quality. Glad this place chooses quality over pace. Definitely try the London fog drink if you are a tea fan. read more

Wow, lots of tea choices! You can get them hot or cold. When ordering for inside you get a pretty tea pot with your tea but the cup is pretty small but it's a nice set. I got the blueberry rooibos and it definitely had a robust taste but no caffeine. I looked over the food menu and I may have to partake in something next time. But I'll definitely be back to try some more teas! read more

I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and in desperate need of caffeine. When I looked up places on Yelp, this was one of the options that populated. Their tea and coffee options looked great, so I decided to give them a try. The coffee shop is well-designed with sufficient parking in an adjacent lot. Once you are inside, there are plenty of tables to sit at and work. Their pastry case is also full of options friendly to all dietary needs, including quite a few gluten free options. I ordered the cafe miel, which has cinnamon and honey. It's just the right amount of sweetness and caffeine, with two shots of espresso. As a warning, their large drinks come with four shots. The prices are pretty comparable to Starbucks, but they offer way more accommodations for those with dietary restrictions. Their staff is very friendly and patient when answering questions. Had lunch today it was awesome! My favorite thing is the cafe mocha. I'm plant based so being able to have one vegan with almond whip cream was so great! It was the best! It's actually the best one I've ever had! Way better then Starbucks... it's not close to me but was definitely worth the drive! Not like it's hours longer to get here maybe 10 minutes lol... What a welcome addition to Midland! Not only does Grove Tea Lounge have a huge selection of loose leaf tea (and bubble tea!), but they also have everything you could ask for in a coffee shop--great lattes, coffee, pastries and small snacks, sandwiches and salads. They have free WiFi and the space is so welcoming, open and spacious. Everyone who works here is so kind as well. I've tried the chai latte, matcha latte, cinnamon plum milk tea boba, chicken sandwich and scones, and all of them have been amazing. I've been to Grove five times now and every time has been phenomenal. The atmosphere is inviting whether you're planning on a quick lunch tea or coffee date or a few hours hunkered down working. The WiFi is actually very fast and reliable, which isn't always the case with coffee places I like to get some studying done in. Also plenty of plugs if that's a must for you! Some of my favorite things to get are the Earl Green and White Peony teas hot, the Peach Blossom tea iced (and on tap usually!), and the Earl Grey White Chocolate Blackberry scone. I've also tried the Pu'er Bordeaux and personally liked it for its less sweet more earthy, wine-like taste as a way to change things up. Really, you can't go wrong here. Had the opportunity to try their coffee over the summer and it was awesome!! I had been there to do a promotional video for my online school and they were so kind as to allow the videographer to get me a cupper!! It was so delicious that I had to slow down to enjoy it!! Love this place! I rotate between the kale salad and the quinoa salad for lunch or dinner. Love the earl gray white chocolate chip scone. The energy bites are delicious. My kids love the cookie dough bites (snickerdoodle is a hit). And obviously, there is the tea! Whether hot or iced, for here or to go, I have never been disappointed. Very mixed experiences. Used to come here all the time last year, very friendly staff and good quality of food & drinks. However, lately (past 3-4 months) the staff has been truly disappointing and the preparation of food has gone down. Last month I took my fiancé and little sisters here and we were served by possibly the rudest barista I've ever met. I am not going to put their name down here out of privacy, but it was pretty bad: getting very impatient with our order, rolling her eyes multiple times, and snapping at me when I asked if they could warm up my cinnamon roll (???). The worst part was when we sat down after paying for our drinks and we could see/hear the two baristas at the counter pointing at our table and laughing. Not a very welcoming place at all anymore. That was the worst experience, but the past several times I've tried to go after that, the staff has just been blatantly rude and quite unhelpful. There are other things like constantly running out of boba/food/tea selections but that's not honestly my main point here, I've been a barista and restaurant cook for years so I completely understand inventory and budget. But, I know that servers (including myself) can have rougher days or deal with awful customers - and that's the worst part of the job - yet there still should be basic standards of courtesy to follow with patrons, especially ones just trying to be friendly and take a quiet family out. This place is a real gem in the Midland area. It's a lovely and unique small business with plenty of gluten free options for pastries and snacks. The Peach Blossom tea latte is my go to favorite as well as the Granny Sandwich. They have outdoor seating in the summer and hammocks outside for those who want to relax.
