Although certainly very expensive, we plan on keeping him there all the way through high school. It's been worth every penny so far. Our older sons have attended other area private schools during their middle and high school years, including one that might be considered a more "elite" school by others. By a wide margin, FRA has been our favorite school. Just a very well-rounded and thorough education.

Be it Athletics, Academics, Campus surroundings, Fans and Boosters, they represent the school with honor and integrity. Harding had the opportunity to travel to FRA for Basketball State Play offs. With both sides fans energized and cheering with all the fever pitch of a NCAA Final Four game and Refs along with coaches leading there respected teams in the final seconds of a grinding game, order was maintained and fair play was on display for all to see. At the final shot to win the game FRA basketball team fell short on points but Player and Fans rose above it in an awesome display of sportsmanship to congratulate the visiting team. Several FRA Boosters/Fans wished us good luck in the finals and thanked us for driving the three hours up to support our team. Several told us, "Safe travels and we look forward to playing you next year". Two words to summarize; Outstanding School.

Currently we have an infant with Ms Tresa and Ms Brittany and a Pre-K'er with Ms. Sarah. Ms Tresa and Ms Brittany are so warm and make it 10000x times easier to drop her off each morning... they also do a great job keeping to the schedule I've requested for our baby. Our Pre-K'er blows me away with how much he's learned in Ms. Sarah's class. The way she integrates academics, emotional intelligence, and social and community responsibility has done so much to shape my kiddo. Highly recommend considering this school for anyone in the market!

The school consistently appears to be understaffed, and families frequently receive messages asking parents to keep their children home due to staffing shortages. In addition, there have been multiple state violations, poor communication, and several incidents that we feel were either undocumented or not appropriately addressed. As parents, the safety and well-being of our children are our highest priorities, and unfortunately, we no longer feel confident that this school can provide a safe and reliable environment. Due to these ongoing concerns, we are actively seeking a different school for our children. Based on our personal experience, I would not recommend this school to other families.

My husband was not…read moreconvinced going into our first year...He said one, maybe two years, but that definitely changed!. The first year, she started to write in cursive...The second year she moved into a new classroom and had several work stations, jobs, and an extra bonus of getting to go to violin class (with only paying a violin rental of $20 a month), and several extra curricular activities that we could add on after school (1 hour extra). Her teachers noticed after a few weeks she was behind on reading a little, and let us know promptly so we could get right on to ramping up her reading...She made a huge turn around! We love this environment of learning. We love that kids are able to be kids, but also learn lots of responsibility and independence. They get to go home and be a kid without loads of homework, although, you can request some learning sheets to be sent home. Now, in our choice to choose Montessori once again, for a 3rd year in 2020, we had a couple important requirements with our choice to go back. We already had an excellent experience so far, but the pandemic and how it was going to be handled at Montessori was key to us continuing. After reading their new policy, we saw that great efforts were made in making the children's environment as normal as possible. This was absolutely critical in us sending our daughter back. They had also placed common sense approaches for keeping kids and staff safe. Because the kids have separate work spaces where they do their individual work, they are already socially distanced. They do temperature checks where my child can be checked with her wrist. They also have hand sanitizing stations (my child is able to bring her organic sanitizer-90% ) and they take the time to keep things extra clean. They have a great system of separating rooms, in case of Covid exposure which really limits the amount of shut downs. This has been brilliant! We have seen the damaging effects of other overly strict policies in so many other surrounding schools (including a lot of depression, discouragement, and lack of learning) so we couldn't be more happy in the way they have handled this so far. Because she is able to go back to school, and not have us home school her, the teachers were able to recognize that she had a bit of a learning disability and we were able to immediately jump on that and get a tutor. One of her teachers actually took the time to educate herself better on her type of disability in order to understand and be able to serve her and some other kids with this issue even better. We would have never even known she had some issues. Now we can save her the heartache of losing her self confidence and falling behind. We highly support Jim Bernstorf and his highly compassionate & knowledgeable staff. We thank them so much for the way they teach the children. Thanks to them, our child can go to school in freedom. As Maria Montessori said, "Let the children be free; encourage them; let them run outside when it is raining; let them remove their shoes when they find a puddle of water; and, when the grass of the meadows is damp with dew, let them run on it and trample it with their bare feet; let them rest peacefully when a tree invites them to sleep beneath its shade; let them shout and laugh when the sun wakes them in the morning as it wakes every living creature that divides its day between walking and sleeping."

I sent her 4 days half day the first week, and 3 days half day the second week. That's when I decided to give withdrawal notice and quit without hesitation. I'm relieved she is not there anymore, and we started in a new daycare FULL-DAY and she is already doing better, and I take her home being her normal self. We started there because the facility was supposed to be top notch. That's not the case at all. I'm relieved that my child is no longer there. The lack of care and attention is remarkable. And my kid as well other kids needs were not prioritized. It started becoming a priority only when I gave notice that my kid wasn't going back. That's when they started calling and saying "we will be more considerate of your kid crying and feelings, and we will try not to let her cray all day". And I know kids need time to adapt, but no one really genuinely helped her or took time to care. She was left to cry while laying there who knows for how long. And the app that they use to update parents and provide pictures? Forget about it. No feedback was ever provided on how her day went. Her updates were not updated, and when they were it was because I would call and ask. And even then, there were inconsistencies. For example, changes of diaper while napping, or updates about her drinking her bottle but I would go and pick her up and her bottle was still there, or that she woke up from her nap while I was literally entering the classroom and she was sleeping AGAIN. Pictures were sent only the first day, and that was it. Bottom line, they would leave her to cry and cry herself to sleep constantly. Not to talk about lies. They would constantly say she didn't cry she had a beautiful day, while the little one was still sobbing. Or the day I went to pick up her stuff, on of the directors at the entrance told me "your little one is cuddling in the classroom". My kid never went to day care that day, she was already out of there. Those are just examples, but I could go on and on. And she was there just for a very short period of time. And I already feel awful I sent her to such a horrible place. This place is not a daycare, is a money making facility. PLEASE, DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE. LOOK ELSEWHERE. THEY ONLY CARE ANOUT MONEY AND NOT THE CHILDREN.

They also have a great early-care and after-care program which is helpful. Our son is always very happy to go to school and it seems like he has a great time there. We love it! OH- almost forgot! One of the BEST parts is that they have a wonderful meal program! We are vegan and they have awesome, healthy menu options. We are fortunate, feeling blessed to be able to have our child attend. The Waldorf methodology has been in practice for over 100 years and throughout the entirety of the globe. It's both time-tested and more relevant than ever to preparing our children for the unknown landscape ahead. The positive feeling from when you enter this incredible campus runs deep. You will be filled with optimism for your child's future. I highly suggest applying early to not have your child miss out on a once in a lifetime experience.
