I recently ordered ten 10" Terracotta Clay Color Pots. I received my order quickly. However, I was thoroughly disappointed that these pots were made of #5 Polypropylene, and not clay. No where in the description/ad does it say that they are plastic or Polypropylene. With their return policy which does not refund shipping and can charge 25% restocking fee, I'd likely only be getting back $18.83 from my $48.11 total purchase price. I consider this deception by omission. The word "clay" appears 3 or 4 times in the ad. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I probably will avoid this company in the future. Let me start off with saying I only purchased from them because I had some shopcash that was expiring so 90% of my order was free. I saw their shipping was 21$, normally I'd stay away but as I mentioned I had free money expiring, so I went ahead and purchased it. The item weighs under 10 ounces and they used a free fedex envelope, so I'm trying to understand what justifies a 21$ shipping cost here. They also shipped it terribly on top of that. The item came with tears from being banged up during shipping. I would advise from ever purchasing from Grower's Solution online. $21 shipping and they ship terribly...what a scam. read more

I ordered a number of sizes and fabrications of shade cloth, Aluminet in 50% & 60% and some green in 70% . They arrives in large packages and were not immediately opened as the need was not urgent in February. Upon opening a $360.69 piece of aluminet was missing, not there. When notified of the missing piece I was told that an 18# package of aluminet was included. They couldn't say for sure what was in the package. There was no further discussion ,the verdict of no compensation was final. I have been a longstanding customer for 15 years or more. That was of no consequence. I'll not do further business with these people & recommend that approach to others. read more

I ordered 4 plants, only one of them arrived in decent condition. They were packaged terribly in a bad quality box. Tons of broken branches. The hardy fig I ordered was a tiny stick with one tiny leaf in a 4" pot. Almost NO ROOTS!!! I ordered 2 beauty berries which they listed as 1 gallon mature plants. Both were 3" plugs which had clearly been potted into 1gallon containers just prior to shipping. As soon as I removed them from the containers, all the dirt fell right off and only left the 3" plug. Also they had NO old growth, they were brand new plants which for a shrub is NOT mature. I would not order from these guys ever again. read more

Terrible service!! I ordered product from Grower's Solution and it was never received. I spoke to both Jacob and Ally who work for the company and they both said there is nothing they can do. Basically they are telling me I lost my money since FedEx claims to have delivered, no signature required. This is their solution...I lost my money!! I have not left my home since Covid and I live in a very safe neighborhood. I will never do business with them again! By the tone of their voice, they really do not care. Buyers beware! P.S. I bought a dozen blue spruce in October. They were all dead by December. I know how to plant trees. I pulled them up to see if I'd one something wrong. They came out of the ground with NO root growth since planting. Literally popped out of the ground like I had planted them that day. I called growers solution. I was politely told that I was out of luck. They only cover the plants for 30 days. I got the impression that this is a common occurrence with Growers solution. I pretty sure the owners don't care. read more

I ordered a custom shade netting. It got delivered in the timeframe stated and the materials were correct. However, there's a disclaimer that states the netting may "vary by a couple inches" - Our netting was 6" short on each length and we had to structurally change our garden framing for this shade to fit. It is nonrefundable and you won't know what dimensions you get until it is delivered. The seams seem to tighten the overall length, so if anything, add 4" to your dimensions to be safe. I wish they would have compensated for the tightening on their end since this seems to be a consistent enough issue to have to add a bullet point disclaimer. Or make that disclaimer more clear that the length will decrease. This is a pricey product that should last years, and their customer service said "sorry not sorry" very dismissively. I wouldn't recommend them for shade nets. read more

This company is poorly educated on shipping policies to the different states. Example is they think shipping cherry tree to Idaho is illegal. Not true. You may ship cherry tree to Idaho as long as you do not ship the dirt with it. Roots only. But they continue with saying it is illegal without doing proper research. I ordered some flat trays from them a few months prior to ordering more. I have bought the same trays from multiple companies and I felt overall they were decent enough to try again. I usually go through at least a couple hundred a month but thought i'd trust my intuition and keep the order small (200 trays), I was also in a pinch for time and knew I received my order from them quickly the time before. Well I received my order quickly but it was trays without holes when I ordered trays with holes, bummer. There goes my savior in a pinch but they honored the fact they made a mistake, had the trays picked up for exchange no cost, received another two carton of trays in about a week, great. This time the trays had holes but were pin holes when the trays I had received and really liked before were typical slit holes, like all the other 1020 flats I've ever ordered from anyone including Grower's Solution have. Still in need (my mistake for counting on them after the first mistake they made), I tried the trays. I grow micro greens in them which are delicate and sometimes temperamental... trays didn't drain properly, soil too damp, root rot, lost product. I emailed them and let them know I wasn't happy and tried again, this time watering less. Didn't matter, lost more product. I requested they take the trays back for refund. " I am sorry the trays are not up to your standards. We ordered the trays from a new supplier for Spring, but we will not be using them once they are gone. We will be back to the old style in a couple of months. You can send the trays back for a refund, or we can replace them when we get the new shipment in. Either way will work for us. Again, I am sorry for the trouble. Thank you for your business." followed by this for some reason: "You can return them to us and I will refund the purchase. However, you will have to pay the return postage. As soon as we get a new shipment in, I can contact you to purchase them." I was pretty bummed and just ceased communications until this past week or two when I got sick of pushing the unused boxes of trays out of the way. I re-initiated communication asking again to return them saying I don't feel I should be responsible for paying shipping on a faulty product that i already paid shipping on. So back and forth we went until I gave up. Point is.. I ordered a product I liked, reordered the same exact thing but received something different. It's not what I ordered. It's not my fault you gambled with another company. That email even admitted you weren't going to use them again but instead of cutting your loss you pass it on to me?! BS. Where's the integrity? Where's the consistency? I can't trust a company that sells inconsistent product and lacks integrity to take responsibility for their gamble. read more

This review is a bit long: In sumary -- I recieved a broken product, unfortunatly I waited till spring to use the product. By then the 30 day warranty had expired. The tech would not e-mail me to help me. They did instruct me to return the product but because of my negative review here I had to pay to get the product shipped back without the company even opening the box I sent it in. For the full story read on...................... At first this company seemed very helpful and wonderful; I was so taken in I planned to buy many future products from them. I purchased a component for cloning citrus and roses called a mist-a-matic. I did not use the device till spring (I bought it early so I could build a box to go around the unit and be ready for spring.) When spring arrived, I turned on the unit and it failed; sometimes it would work, other times it would leave the plants to dry out. I figured I was doing something wrong. After approx a month of tweaking different settings, I contacted customer service, hoping I could alter something on my end and avoid a return. The man I contacted was very helpful but he didn't have technical information on the item I had bought. He gave me the e-mail and phone of the man I needed to talk to. After sending several e-mails and waiting a couple of weeks with no response, I decided to try another route. I sent a standard letter to the man I was supposed to get technical help from. When I did not get a response from this, I e-mailed the original man again and he told me that the man I was trying to contact was the boss of the company and that he would only respond to phone calls. I explained this was not an option since my work time is the same time they are open; I also do not get lunch breaks otherwise I would have called then Here us the response I received. "I have spoke to Roger (the boss) and he basically told me if you need to speak to him, you will have to call like everyone else. I understand you have to work, but we do to. We answer around 100 emails per day and answer roughly 120 to 150 phone calls per day. This is the busiest time of year for us and he simply doesn't have time to talk technical spec of a Mist o Matic via email. You can call him on your lunch break or call and leave him a voice mail. The phone call will not take very long. If your plants are dying, you should try to find time to call. I have done everything in my power to handle this, but I am now telling you that if you do not call, we can not help. I am sorry, but that is about as truthful as I can be. Thank you again! - Mike" After that e-mail I returned the unit. I waited a long time for some response (UPS stated the unit was delivered.) After several attempts at e-mail Grower's Solution, they responded as such. "I am sorry for the delay, I was on vacation all last week. I just went to check on the status of your Mist-a-Matic and it was brought to my attention that you wrote a negative review on Yelp about us. Needless to say we were all a little shocked, considering we were trying to help you free of charge. That being said, I can no longer help you at all with your current problem. I was trying to help you, but it is out of my hands now. The product is sold with no warranty and is well beyond the 30 return policy. If you would like to have the product shipped back to you, you will need to pay postage for it's return. Please let me know how you would like to proceed." I asked that my unit be returned. After I paid for return postage I got it back in approx a week. The people at Grower's Solution had not even opened the box I had sent them. After some rewiring and replacing the transformer that originally came with the unit I now have a working product. However to get to this point it cost me a lot in postage and months of trying to contact the people of Grower's Solution. In my opinion this company should be avoided. read more

It was missing pieces and they didn't understand why I was upset even after they had to ship out replacement pieces. Well after having trouble with a different nursery I found these guys and decided to give them a shot... I ordered a few plants which they charged me for rite away and in the disclaimer it says orders ship within 72 hours... Fine the next day I received an email stating my shipping lable was created and updates would be posted as the package moves... Well I paid for the upgraded shipping as well. According to the tracking number my order was supposed to be delivered today. Well after checking tracking it says my order has still not done more then creating my lable to ship. So I called customer service and the gentlemen looked it this and told me if they made the lable then it was boxed and FedEx must have forgot to grab it from the nursery and that it probably isn't good sense it was left in the box for 3 days so he would re ship it rite away. At the end of the business day I still had no further conformation so I called back before they closed. When the lady answered she couldn't find any record of my call this morning. Then proceeded to tell me that she doesn't care what the tracking says about today for delivery that they print shipping labels before they even have packages to put them on and that my order hasn't shipped yet. I work in shipping for a warehouse and we don't print labels till the package is ready to ship because it starts the tracking. How unprofessional. If I ever receive my order it will be my last from them gurney,ty ty ,and fast growing trees.com are so much better absolutely no hastle from them and everything arrives when it's supposed to. read more

I ordered a three foot gingko tree and it arrived amazingly quick via expedited mail. It was well packed and in perfect condition. Being that it is winter it was in a dormant stage, and it's absolutely loaded with buds. This is the best and most reasonably priced site for gingko trees I've seen online. At least six weeks ago I ordered a huge bundle of bamboo stakes (5 footers) to use on my dahlias and tomato plants and anything else that needed support. Every stake broke in the middle (usually) as I tried to ease it into the soil, regardless of how soft the soil was, etc. Each and every one of the stakes had dry rot in the hollow middle. I called and the young woman who answered told me that wasn't their product, they buy them from another source. (That is the way most distributers work, isn't it?) She told me she would talk to her boss and call me the next day. I am still waiting. These stakes were pretty pricey and the freight was even more pricey. I have a large botanical garden and these people just lost a great potential customer. read more

I ordered a hydrangea from Grower's Solution in late March. I received an e-mail that said it was shipped. I paid for 2-day priority shipping. A week later the plant arrived. It was well packed but looked pretty sad--just a 4" twig stuck in a gallon pot. I put it in the ground and waited. The weather was great for new plants-- not too hot and a good amount of rain. When the twig showed no signs of life nearing the 30 day warranty period, I contacted Mike, sales manager. He quickly responded and told me that the plant was likely in shock or dormant and to give it more time. I could also scrape the bark and see If it was green, indicating life. I did that, saw some green and waited a couple more weeks. Still nothing. I scraped the bark again and no green. I contacted Mike for a replacement or refund and he accused me of waiting too long. The 30- day warranty was up. Most good nurseries will warrant their plants for the first growing season. I would not purchase anything from Grower's Solution again. read more

I purchased 3 pk of Willow Oak trees thru Growers Solution via Amazon. they were quick to ship the trees and and pretty good delivery time. Opened the box and all three trees were dead as doornails. They actually wrapped them with some sheedded newspaper and wet the newspaper a little. I guess they did this to make me think the trees were healthy and alive. These trees had been dead a long time. I emailed the company the next day and they stated they needed some more time to research the problem and that they would work with me. Well it has been at least 3 more weeks have gone by and have heard a thing from them. I have emailed themmany times and have gotten no responses. I guess I will eat the costs of these trees. They sorta of ignore you after they get your money and send you dead plants. I would avoid this company at all costs. read more

I ordered the UPRIGHT version of this August Higan Cherry tree in the 1 gallon size and received the WEEPING version instead. I realized something was wrong when the branches were dragging the ground. I spoke with Mike Gibby in Sales. Even though my order clearly stated UPRIGHT and showed the UPRIGHT version, Mr. Gibby refused to refund me or send me the correct tree. I was told I didn't do my research insinuating it was my fault. I was told the owner would contact me, he did not. I have found myself duped from this unfortunate purchase. Buyer beware, you have been forewarned. read more

On June 28th I ordered shade cloth, custom cut to 17" by 19', no sewn edges, no grommets; seems simple enough. The website said 2 to 3 weeks. (My credit card was charged for the full payment on June 29th) I called at the 3 week mark and was told 2 to 3 weeks, business days . . . ok! They will send me an email when the item is shipped from California to me in California; July 23rd, no email regarding shipment ~ frustrated,ugh.
