We ordered beers to wash down the food, and the selection of German brews was great, with very reasonable prices. The rathskeller is nicely decorated and has a variety of seating - bar, table, and there are also some games as well. They take mental health very serious here , they have pictures all around saying it's okay to speak about mental health. They also have condoms in the room and at the front , I love how they do this especially for teens who would be shy to ask. They also have a lot of pamphlets to educate yourself with everything which I appreciate. For example safe sex , birth control options and mental health. They have a decent sized parking lot as well. They do take same day appointments which I appreciate.

My expectations are to be treated courteously, but after being verbally attacked I responded with the same negativity I was accorded. But the abuser with the authority was able to get my membership bounced. This is abusive and not judicious. Poor management won, they did not get to the bottom of the issue, abuse will continue. Normally it's a good experience until it's not. The bully was rewarded. Selective abuse will continue.

On 02/24/2017 we decided to go there (party of 10) for dinner. We arrived at approx. 6:30pm and it was "fado night"! We ordered our drinks and apps.(Portuguese natchos), and everything was fine. Then they took our dinner order. It took more than an hour to get our meals that came out sporadically & cold. They practically shut off the lights "because everything has to be quiet and dark for the fado"so that we couldn't even see what the heck we were eating! The waitress nowhere to be found! My meal, the "bacalhao a ze do pipo" was disgusting, it looked as if they took scraps from the bottom of the pan and dressed them with loads of fried onions! No one to talk to, no one to see if everything was ok, nothing! We couldn't wait to get out of there and needless to say that they will never see another penny from us again, and I will not recommended them to anyone at all! Stay away!

The Smith Hill branch began as a delivery station in 1907, and had grown to occupy leased space, with an annual circulation of more than 70,000, by 1929. Circulation rose rapidly after the building's completion, reaching 119,000 in just three years. The building continues to act as a significant local community resource for those people living within a few mile radius from the library. Not only you can read or borrow books, you can also take part of the many community activities that take place in the library. As a community magnet, it is used for many events that benefit the neighbors of Smith Hill The library was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
