Well, I private messaged and emailed one such photographer and she never even bothered to respond! Discouraged, I turned to my old friend Yelp, and Ashley Blake caught my eye. Great reviews, nice looking photos- and wouldn't you know, she responded within the hour. From that point on everything was wonderful. Ashley does a great job communicating with you. I paid a partial deposit and we worked out a meeting spot and photo location. Ashley comes prepared with all of her equipment, and an artistic eye for nice backdrops. Asking an 18 year old boy to pose for an hour is a tall order, but she's so friendly and chill my son complied! We had a rare cold snap the day before our appointment and Ashley gave me the choice to reschedule if I preferred. This is turning into a long review, but what I'm trying to say is that she's terrific! I'm so glad I found Ashley and would recommend her to anyone.

I can't tell you how many other companies just sent over a brochure with their pricing with no follow-up. After comparing a few other photographers, we landed on Storytellers because of their beautiful editing style, and we knew we would be in good hands with experienced professionals. We worked with Anel for our engagement photoshoot, and she was a complete gem. My husband and I are not picture people, and she was able to get us comfortable in front of the camera. Those pictures turned out beautifully. For the wedding, we worked with Anel and Andrew for photography, and Marilyn for videography, and I cannot stress how amazing it was to work with all of them. I was a bundle of nerves the day of my wedding, and not once did I have to worry about anything not being captured. It was such an unpredictable time and Maia graciously worked with us on all our date changes. We definitely felt that we were more than just "business" to her and that she truly cared for us and our big day. She was both our engagement and wedding photographer and both those times she made me and my husband feel safe, comfortable, and brought out the absolute awesomeness in us! I'm definitely the type who's got a lot of insecurities but she made sure to adjust certain things like my hair, clothes, the angles to get shots that she knew I would be happy with.
