There are few times in life when a party is as memorable as this one was. From start to finish, Good Times Entertainment made this process so memorable for me and my entire staff. We threw a company party for about 200 people and Isaac made each transition from cocktail hour, to slideshow presentation, to dinner, to dancing seem effortless. He was very helpful in keeping the entire event organized and really caring about what happened. We have many different age groups throughout our staff and Isaac really catered to everyone when playing music. Everyone enjoyed him so much that we even asked him to stay two hours later than he was scheduled. He did so with a smile and continued to keep the energy up within our group. Our employees have been talking about that night ever since. Our event truly would not have been possible without him and good times entertainment. During the whole wedding process, the only job I had was to find the entertainment. It could have either been a big hit or a big bust. Luckily we met Isaac at a bridal show here in town and immediately formed a connection and set them apart from all the other djs there at the other booths. During our first couple of meet ups at their office they introduced us to what they had to offer which was typical like the others, but what set them apart was the time they took with us. We weren't pressured into something we didn't want. They just wanted to get to know who we were personally in order to see if we were a good fit and let me tell you it was a perfect match! Although we originally had one of their other djs lined up for our event, Alex was mainly the one we met up with every time we had our wedding planning meetings. My wife and I instantly connected with him like he's been a close friend for years. His personality and the way he approaches everything is professional and very welcoming and gives you that assurance you want every time. Don't get me wrong, Isaac was always very professional and accommodating when we met with him as well and being the owner you don't see that often. He has a genuine personality and either him or Alex are great to have! I wish we could have had both! But now to the wedding. We were kind of nervous that our wedding wouldn't have gone smooth and their would be some hiccups along the way but Alex kept everything flowing smoothly. During the ceremony there were no mic problems as well as the introductions at the reception. He even went out of his way to get our slideshow up which made him the real MVP! Alex was always keeping my wife and I updated on the timeline and making sure everything was on time and that we were ready. Also kept our guests occupied and aware during the toasts and dances so they could direct their attention. When we finally got to the dance floor and the music started flowing it had everyone dancing! All our grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, guests, I mean everyone! The variety of music and hits from different generations was something no ordinary dj can do especially getting everyone up dancing like that. We even had to get another hour cause our friends and family wouldn't get off the dance floor!! Alex went above and beyond that night! We had so many compliments on Alex some would say he stole the show that night! I was blown away! I would not hesitate to recommend this company for any event. We got married this last Saturday April 27th. We told ourselves that after all the chaos we would sit down and start leaving reviews for our vendors. So here we are! And honestly, its expected. If a vendor knocks your socks off, you should be leaving them a pretty good review. GTE was AMAZING to work with, Patrick was our DJ the day of but we mostly worked with/talked to Alex. Alex is hands down amazing, funny, and insanely knowledgeable and talented. He know his craft and kicks some major ass at it (if you get a chance, really listen to the stuff he mixes and comes up with). He was SO insanely patient with all of our hiccups, disorganization, and chaos (and I say that in the best way possible). I (the bride) tend to worry/stress about a lot and he was super quick and sweet in answering all of my questions that I had. He also worked with us price wise and threw in some perks! Seriously, amazing. Patrick (who was deemed Alex's protege by others at GTE and we agree!) was a HUGE hit. And if you are able to hear him SING at your wedding and event.... HOLY HELL he has pipes! I think my jaw hit the floor and just stared at him for a sec lol. Our guests, and us included, couldn't get over how well he sang and his personality. He's very friendly, out going, personable, and hilarious. Our wedding was a little crazy at the end, we had 3 hours of dance time at the end (which our coordinator said 2 was the norm; so we decided to take things in stride and be ok with things running a littler late). At no fault of the DJ, we were sent out for sunset pictures... but it wasn't sunset yet. So we came back as we were getting ready to do toasts (I believe guests were already waiting for toasts at this point, not sure how long) when it was ACTUALLY time to go out for those photos. There was some disagreement about whether or not we should do them and keep our guests waiting; but it was nice Patrick had our back and said that we SHOULD do them as they were more important and he kept our guests busy. We came back with a little under 2 hours of dance time to spare (and they even got our guests moving before that!). Patrick kept things fun and moving! The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars were for more technical reasons that left me sad and bummed out. Which for the most part, I let go, because none of our guest knew of the 'mistakes' but me. No point in letting things ruin your big day! Their client portal is seriously cool and lets you really customize things. WORD OF ADVICE: Tripple check that what you put into the portal transfers over in their system. This is where we had our issue :( I talked to Alex about the song I wanted for our bridal party/bride entrance into the venue for the ceremony: the bridal party walked into the instrumental version of a thousand years by Christina Perry where my Dad and I walked into a thousand years part 2 at Steve Kazee's part of the song (when you listen to it you know why). That's not what we got. I couldn't really tell if we got the instrumental version at all or if it was just Christina Perry's version; it also sounded like it was being played from 2 different systems so there was some overlap/echo of the words. This really bummed me out as it was a tiny part that I really wanted. But it's ok! You can bet my happy little self was smiling all the way down that isle! The other issue, Patrick had approached me during the night and with his sweet little self did preface it with "I don't want you to stress" before telling me we didn't have a father daughter song... or a mother song song... and a few others. Which I won't lie, did stress me out because I had everything I wanted SAVED in the client portal AT LEASt 3 days before the wedding. In which he did inform me that it didn't transfer over in the system. After a bathroom break, I actually ran back to our room ad checked out portal to see that everything was there, took a quick screen shot, and had one of my bridesmaids run it to him. We still didn't get the correct mother son song (Patrick had informed one of my girls they didn't have the song) and improvised which is totally fine! There were also some song issues that we either didn't hear/didn't get played or were wrong (I don't remember specifics as I can't access my event details anymore, but do think I have a screen shot on my phone). BUT Patrick did make up for it! His song selection was great and so was his mixing! He had people up on their feet pretty much the entire time; he played a lot of our favorites too! But him actually sining SHOUT was one of the BEST parts; again not only are his vocals amazing but he was up dancing with all of us and really getting into it! Took me back to my college days :) I attended the University of Oregon where they filmed Animal House AND this song has a lot of tradition and memory there. All in all 10/10 would use these guys again! I will sing heir praises all up and down the west coast! You're miss out if you DON'T book them read more

I had a special celebration for my graduation recently and GTE went above and beyond! From the initial inquiry, to the communication in between, and the event itself, they were impeccable!!! Patrick was my DJ for that night and he did such an amazing job and picked the perfect tunes throughout the night. It got everyone of all ages giggin' to the sound of the beat! Additionally, the photo booth I had was perfect! I was able to customize my photo strip design super easily and they turned out great. We absolutely loved our experience with Good Times Entertainment! During our first meeting with Good Times, we had no doubt that we wanted them as our DJ for our wedding. The company is so organized and flexible. Making payments was very easy. We had DJ Alex for our wedding, and he seriously rocked it! He was willing to meet my husband and me after work hours to go over song choices before the wedding. My dad was able to call Alex to make last minute secret changes (surprise to my husband and I) and Alex accommodated. The dance floor was always packed and all of the songs were mixed together well, without any awkward pauses. At one point I think he read my mind because I had told my bridesmaid I wanted a certain song on but couldn't remember the name, and sure enough it came on next. :) Alex was more than just a DJ... he was a true MC, a coordinator, and announcer. We had our wedding last weekend at Hume Lake in Kings Canyon. We live in San Diego so all of the planning had to be long distance. Upon a recommendation from our caterer, I called GTE. I had a long phone interview with Alex and he was so helpful and informative. We had looked at a couple of other companies but I felt like Alex really cared about our event and not just booking another wedding. He really made it easy to plan from a long distance. Our DJ was Patrick Burke. Or should I say the best DJ ever! We had several phone interviews with Patrick before the big day. The day of the event, Patrick showed up on time and was so friendly and professional. The music from the cocktail party throughout the entire event was spot on. The guest are still raving about how amazing he was. He even got out of the floor and sang 'Shout' and go the whole place rocking. The dance floor was packed all night. Even before dinner was served, people were dancing. I can't say enough nice things about this company. From Alex and Issac who we dealt with in the planning phase to Patrick who is an absolute doll. We had GTE DJ our wedding in April, and while I loved our head DJ Zack I felt like his assistant was out of touch with our audience. Zack MC'd the entire night and kept the crowd pumped and involved and kept everything organized and made sure it was what we wanted. Anytime he was in charge of the playlist, he kept the music hot and super fun. However, when he was busy with the crowd and helping us out, his assistant was in charge of the music and we really weren't feeling his music choice. There were times we had people go and ask the assistant to play a specific song, or different type of music and he would either take a long time to change it or he wouldn't change it at all. We noticed our guests weren't feeling the music and neither were we, so finally I (the bride) decided to go to him and asked him to kill the 80's music because no one was dancing. He finally did and shortly after Zack made it up and took over and that was when the dance floor started getting hyped. All in all, Zack the head DJ was great, but his assistant didn't do the best job filling in when Zack was busy with the mic. It took a long time for our guests to get on the dance floor and I feel like part of it was because of the music choice towards the beginning of the night. read more

I hired a DJ for my wedding. The company hyped up there promotion. We had 4 Or so meetings with them to go over what the DJ will do. When wedding day came it was a complete disaster. The DJ ran up to me and asked if we were the bridal crew when we're in our dresses about to go down and isle. When the ceremony was over he played The beginning of friends in low places which those lyrics are about an ex. For the reception the DJ unplugged our lights to plug in his speakers. Which I told him before the wedding we have a generator just for him but he wanted to argue and keep the speakers plugged in where the lights were supposed to be running off of. In the middle of the ceremony he started playing break up songs. The DJ was supposed to bring his own lights for the standard package deal. That never happened. I paid to much for a service that hyped themselves up to scam people. read more

good times entertainment was probably the one of few things my husband and i were extremely happy to splurge on when it came to our wedding. we met up with several other dj'ing companies and although everyone was nice or pleasant enough, no one worked their magic on us like isaac. he was extremely personable, really wanted to get to know us as a couple and know what kind of crowd we would be inviting. he really sold us on his business...you can tell he's passionate about music and that pleasing the customer is top priority. the only reason why we hesitated with this company was because it was a little more pricey than other dj'ing companies but believe me when i say it iS WELL WORTH IT. our wedding was so amazing music wise, the music never stopped and songs transitioned from one another smoothly..never leaving a still moment of silence in the air. he knew all the right stuff to play and made sure to double check with me about music requests he felt uneasy playing form guests. he's really versatile in his music knowledge and has a great selection on his website to choose from. it was really awesome because he also sets you up with a pass word and username so that you can log onto his website and create play lists you want for your upcoming event. lists include: must have, might want if theres room for additional music, and def don't play...also if its hard to choose or you just don't know whats hot right now...he has a bunch of already pre made lists for you to choose from.."father daughter dance songs" "most popular wedding songs" "most popular first dance songs" etc.....oh and you get to actually listen to the music too. all in all...def money well spent....i HIGHLY recommen isaac. read more

Isaac was great. We hired him to play for a 40th birthday party. We were able to choose our music ahead of time and he accepted requests throughout the night. He payed attention to our guests and the kind of music that kept the dance floor full. He served as MC during the event and asked a lot of questions to make sur that he didn't miss anything. We were just married on 2/7/15 and had Alex as our Dj. He did a great job of keeping the guests entertained and on the dance floor. He moved things along at a fast pace also and kept things organized. My only complaint would be the ceremony. My one moment I had been dreaming of...walking down the aisle..was ruined a bit. I requested to play a thousand years by Christina perry and although I did get that, it was the instrumental version and not the version with lyrics like I had wanted. I feel it should've been clarified by them before hand. I was pretty disappointed by that. It was a pretty big deal to me. Isaac was the DJ for our wedding in Temecula last month, and we totally lucked out! I had emailed him on accident (meaning to email a different DJ that we were going to go with) but Isaac returned my email explaining I must have the wrong address but he'd be more than willing to help out if he could. I did a little research and after talking to him again a few time, I ended up going with him! We planned our wedding super quick (under 2 month) from across the country (we live in Chicago) and were able to book him last minute to do our wedding. Because of all of those aspects combined, he really didn't get much guidance from us... we finalized our ceremony songs 4 days before the wedding on our flight out there, we only had a couple song suggestions entered into his amazing online portal planner ahead of time, but in the two pone conversations we had we were able to communicate our vision and general tastes and concerns and he basically took care of the rest. He brought so much more to the table than just someone playing songs and manning the mic; such an amazing value. He even went above and beyond to make sure we had music playing for our guests the whole time (pre-ceremony reception, cocktail hour, etc) even though I initially was trying to be cheap and do without it. The day of and day before my wedding a lot of vendors had final questions for me (which is definitely the WRONG time to be contacting a bride), but not Isaac. He was there at the right time and just figured it out without me laying everything out for him. A true professional. read more

From the start we didn't want to spend too much money in the DJ area, but after attending a few weddings our minds changed. The DJs we saw had to ask people several times to sit down for the entry of the bride and groom, the dance floor would clear off at times, but the DJ just kept that song going. We knew we needed someone to command the crowd, to make sure that everything would happen without any problems, and would keep people on the dance floor all night. Good Times did that all for us. We had constant contact with Isaac throughout the planning process. He made sure that everything was perfect for us. Our day went off without a hitch, and I even got to play "DJ" during the reception for a bit. Isaac made the whole experience fun and memorable. There wasn't a second that there wasn't a person on the dance floor. He was able to read the crowd and play music to suite everyone. Let me begin by saying that both my wife and I were very particular when selecting a DJ for our wedding, as we felt that a DJ could really set the tone for a wedding. Alex and Issac were beyond expectations. We met with Issac initially through a Conference call, because we did not live in the Fresno area. At the end of the initial call he demonstrated via FaceTime his skills along with Alex. We were already leaning towards GTE prior to the demo, however, afterwards we were sold. Their follow up interviews and planning sessions were perfect and extremely helpful with planning the timing and coordination of the wedding day. We were so impressed with their planning and services that we stopped looking for a wedding coordinator and entrusted GTE with that job. They once again performed beyond expectations. At our big day Alex, our DJ, arrived and setup two locations for us. Even though it rained he was unfazed and was able to properly manage our day to perfection. He was extremely cordial to our guests, even offering to grab a drink for a guest that could not walk down to the wedding seating and thus was closer to Alex. At the reception as our master of ceremonies Alex was spot on, made up for lost time by making appropriate adjustments to the schedule, and allowing us a good amount of time to party and truly enjoy our day. His music selection was also perfect for our wedding and truly set the mood for our event. Without him I do not believe that our wedding would have been as successful as it was. I cannot say enough great things about Alex and Good Times Entertainment. From the very first meeting, through our wedding day, Alex was professional, courteous, accommodating, and did a fantastic job. Their online platform was easy to work with, and made the wedding planning process seamless and effortless. He went over the timeline for my wedding multiple times and had wonderful suggestions. He even mixed a perfect first dance for us, that everyone loved. I felt very confident going into our wedding day, knowing that he would be in charge of the party. And I was right. My wedding went off perfectly and just as we planned. We had an outdoor ceremony and Alex perfectly executed the music and speeches with the minister. Then we moved inside, and we didn't want the party to end. He had all the guests entertained, and kept the dance floor full the entire night. It even got a little warm inside the venue, and he was flexible and able to move the party outside, without missing a beat. He even did a mix, on the fly, so my husband could have a dance-off with one of my bridesmaids that no one will forget. Everyone, from my grandmother, co-workers, and family members came up to me during and after the wedding wanting to know his name and get his card, because he was truly awesome. So much fun, and so great to work with. I truly could not have asked for a better DJ. We hired GTE as our wedding DJ. I cannot recommend them enough. They made everything from planning to the wedding day easy and great! I got married in Fresno, but did all the planning from out of state. That is not easy to do, but GTE helped make it as easy as possible for me. Planning a wedding is stressful enough. I was trying to make the wedding timeline and just didn't know how things were supposed to flow. Isaac and Alex had a phone conference with me and helped me with the whole timeline and song suggestions. They are so professional and took care of our military family! We made some last minute changes that really affected our pricing (we wanted to reduce hours) and they worked with us to accommodate our changes while still giving us the original discount. This shows their professionalism and care for their clients! They're all about making an event that is true to the client's vision. During the wedding day, Alex was so fun and I would definitely recommend him! He did a great job keeping the flow of the reception going. The reason I hired GTE instead of other DJs (who were also very nice and professional) was because Alex was so friendly and funny at the bride show! I think it is important to note that I knew I didn't have to worry about the DJ at all on my wedding day! That is NOT something a bride should have to worry about at that time. Unfortunately I have a less than acceptable experience with this company. For my wedding I wanted to hire Isaac. The same DJ who was responsible for the great time I had at my cousins wedding just 6 months before. We met everything was great we established that he would not be able to DJ my wedding but an employee/co-worker of his David would. I spoke with David over the phone about details of our wedding and we even met the week of to discuss our wedding songs. However for some reason the Saturday of our wedding some nameless man shows up whom I have never met or heard of before and sets up. I'm thinking to myself maybe David will show up when the reception begins and this guy is just setting up. No. The man who arrived 1. didn't speak english. 2. played the exact same 10 songs in a row. 3. didn't MC or announce ANYTHING- assuming because of #1. 4. had a very grumpy demeanor when I TRIED to communicate with him. If I could go back in time I would have saved myself $600 and just played my iPod. read more

With the Dj being one of the most important decisions in regards to the overall flow and experience of a wedding/reception, my wife and I were very selective in choosing which Dj company we hired for our wedding. Several months before our wedding date we met with Isaac from Good Times Entertainment and we were immediately impressed with the company. With my wife being a little more skeptical in nature, as music is so important to her, that first meeting probably lasted a good two hours! During that time Isaac was extremely helpful and took the time to really make sure that we new what we would be investing in, and we could tell that he and his company would provide superior skills and excellent service, and did it without coming across as being pushy. We decided that day that we would go with Good Times Entertainment and felt very confident that we had made the right decision. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Isaac was extremely patient and professional with us as we still were unsure of our song lists and timeline. Then came the wedding day. We were amazed at how perfect everything turned out. This would not have been possible without the help of our friends and family, and also an AMAZING DJ. We are from Portland Oregon and had our wedding in Modesto CA ,anyone who's had a destination wedding knows the challenges that come with it ! We hired Isaac after finding him via the internet ,we were talking with three other companies before Isaac called us back and when my then fiancé spoke with him for the 1St time, we knew we had our guy ! Let me start by saying that this was THE EASIEST decision we made for our whole wedding! While at work one day on my lunch break, I sent out some inquiries to a few local DJs for our September wedding in Yosemite. It was February by this point, and I was nervous that I wasn't going to get a good DJ - and as we all know, a DJ can make or break a party!! Within minutes of sending in my inquiry, Isaac called me and shared a little about himself and GTE. He was personable and warm and set up an appointment for me and my now-husband to talk to Alex, one of the DJs, later that night. Alex spent over an hour on the phone with us talking about weddings, the company, tips for how to keep the party going, etc - this was all before we even paid or committed to anything. He introduced us to the online portal (which, by the way is a God-send in the midst of hectic wedding planning!) to give us an idea of what to expect and how to create a detailed timeline and how to pick songs. After discussing pricing and finding out their fee was also below our budget - We were sold! After booking, Isaac and Alex continued to be incredibly helpful with getting our song list and timeline established. They checked in on us periodically to see if we needed any additional support (major brownie points!) and the online portal was a contraption from heaven that allowed me to edit this at anytime of day and at any location - at work during lunch, on my laptop right before bed - seriously anywhere, anytime! Our wedding ran incredibly smoothly and Alex kept the crowd on the dancefloor! I never felt like there were any weird pauses or changes in the music. I honestly couldn't be happier!! Good Times DJ was always a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. When it came time for the wedding, they set up quickly, they were professional and very nice. My only complaint was that they really didn't understand the genre of music that I wanted. read more

We hired Good Times Entertainment for my daughters wedding in Yosemite at the Tenaya Lodge. Alex was perfect!!! Everyone continued to tell us what a great DJ we hired. I LOVE GOOD TIMES! We hired them for our wedding and Ryan was our DJ the night of. He really understood that we wanted a fun atmosphere. He got everyone on the dance floor and was friendly to all of our guests. I would totally recommend Ryan and Good Times Ent to everyone! They also did our up-lighting. We hired Good Times Entertainment for our daughters sweet 16. It was a great experience working with Isaac and Geo! They met with us and helped us pretty much plan the whole night with a timeline. I felt very comfortable with them and I greatly appreciated their suggestions to small changes for the ideas that we had, to make the night more memorable. Geo was our Dj for then event and he was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we met with Geo he was professional, polite, and made our daughter his number one priority! I would highly recommend that when booking your event with good times that you request Geo as your Dj. He played just what the birthday girl wanted, kept up with the request of our fellow party goers and just kept the whole party running smoothly. And I will also add that he pronounced everyone's name correctly too! Alex was our DJ at our wedding in August at Tenaya Lodge and he truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect! He got the guests excited, made everyone feel comfortable and really got the party started! We also rented a photo booth with good times and thought they did a great job with that as well. Throughout the planning process we were in contact with both Alex and Isaac and were really impressed with their professionalism, organization, and knowledge of how to put together the wedding timeline.
