I'm in a situation where my family is suddenly finding we need to switch from a court-appointed attorney to private representation. Georgette's response was, "I don't know why you waited until the last minute, you can't possibly expect Mr. Davis to go back in time and change the past do you?" I said, "Of course not, I'm just looking for an attorney who can professionally handle what this case entails, I'm not sure why you feel the need to be rude about it." She insisted she was not being rude, it was just my interpretation of her [combative] tone. She said she would text Mr. Davis and ask him how much he would charge for my case. I responded that I thought it was strange she is going to expect me to agree to a retainer without the lawyer himself even calling me personally. I said I had been having consultation with various firms, and every attorney has called me personally, has been extremely cordial, professional, and kind. She told me, "Then go hire one of those other lawyers".
