So...I called them and some person who barely spoke English wanted me to give him my FULL SS number over an OPEN LINE so he could verify my identity. NOT happening. Seems as though none of these incompetent people can perform an identity verification with all the info they could possibly need. To make a long story short, I opened an account with First United with ZERO problems. Walked in and was greeted professionally and out in less than 30 minutes. I thought I had paid it and didn't. So I went to pay my monthly payment and there was no indication that my car was in jeopardy of being repossessed. I noticed that I had missed a payment and paid for one payment and had plans to pay the rest a few days later. My car was repossessed that night that I made the payment. There system doesn't do same day payment and put the payment for two days after. When I called them the next morning to see if it was them or if it was stolen. They wouldn't talk to me because I was not my husband but the gentleman did say that he could see the account and that I was able to make a payment so due to their policies that the car was not repossessed but could not tell that they did repossessed it. After that my husband called and they said that the payment didn't come in time and that they didn't have to let us know that they were going to repossess the car and that they have free will to take it then they want . I have asked to speak with a manager and was told he was in a meeting. I have patiently been waiting his call.

The atm has never had a manager to approve checks of this size. Then the manager came over apologized for the delay but then tried to use the opportunity to pitch a new banking account. For sure no customer service quality here.
