I don't like writing negative reviews, but my frustration with this company has reached its limit. I signed a contract with this company on April 3, 2026, to install impact-resistant windows in the small patio of my condominium apartment. As of today, August 11, 2026, the project still has not been completed, and I have received nothing but excuses and conflicting explanations. According to what the company confirmed when I called their office, the materials have been sitting in their warehouse since the first week of July. Now, I'm being told that the delay is due to a permit issue. I personally contacted and visited the City of Tamarac to try to understand what is happening. The information I received was consistent: the company had not properly processed the required documents. At this point, I no longer have confidence in this company or in their ability to complete the work as promised. I want to cancel the contract, but I'm being told that I cannot simply do so. I find it extremely frustrating that I am expected to remain tied to a contract with a company that has failed to deliver what was promised. I will be seeking guidance on what options I have to resolve this situation and, if possible, terminate the contract. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. This has been a tremendous disappointment and an extremely frustrating experience. read more

I've never felt compelled to leave a review for a company I didn't actually hire, but Guardian has been so frustrating to deal with that I'm hoping this at least gets them to stop calling me. I originally submitted an Angie inquiry for local contractors to quote a residential window replacement. I've handled multiple window projects for past homes and rental properties, so I already knew exactly what I wanted--just a straightforward estimate. Guardian, however, refused to provide a quote unless I sat through a 90-minute appointment. We all know what that's for. I told them I appreciated their time, but if they couldn't simply give me a quote, we weren't a good fit. No harm done, or so I thought. Since then, I've received 6 additional calls from Guardian. I explained to the second representative why I wasn't interested, and he launched into a generic sales pitch about efficiency and transparency. Me telling you exactly what I want and providing a quote based on that is far more effective than wasting both of our time with a 90 minute sales pitch. Anyway, I still politely asked to be removed from their call list. Yesterday, I received yet another call. When I began--again--to ask to be removed from their list, the representative didn't even let me finish before hanging up on me. Even if I had gotten a quote from this company and they happened to be the best-priced option in town, I still wouldn't use them. Their pushy, inconsiderate approach is enough for me to take my business elsewhere, even if it costs more. This level of pressure and disregard for my time is something I won't tolerate. read more

Guardian's website claims it supports our veterans while it vandalizes veteran homes without compensation or even an apology. Guardian illegally tried to use a disclaimer in my NEIGHBOR'S contract (see photo of letter) to deny liability for damage to MY home after (1) trespassing into areas of my home it did not belong in, (2) trampling all over my grass for days while I was out of town, and (3) leaving large pieces of wood, bricks, garbage, scrap metal and nails all over my property (which could have killed our service dog if ingested). Guardian's employees and the trash left behind were found not just near my neighbor's property, but ALL over my yard--I'm not clear how or why. One of the several bricks left behind by Guardian was found inches away from my sprinkler pump. The brick evidently fell and cracked my sprinkler pump cover, exposing the electrical for days while I was out of town, and now my entire sprinkler system is non-functioning. Guardian denies responsibility despite my security camera footage and photos of the roofing material it trashed my home with. A project manager later visited my home to discuss the damage with my husband and he did not have the decency to tell me his name, that he was a Guardian representative, nor to apologize. He refused to speak with me despite my telling him that I owned the property, saying that he was only willing to talk to my husband about it, who he referred to as a "man" multiple times (adding insult to injury--literally). Guardian's project manager is immature and not qualified to do his job. Had he supervised his employees, Guardian wouldn't be in this situation. I later received the attached wholly factually incorrect letter from Guardian denying all responsibility. I subsequently sent Guardian multiple emails, all of which have gone ignored. As if all that wasn't enough, Guardian FAILED multiple consecutive inspections (including two on the same day). Ironically, if you want to protect yourself and your neighbors DON'T hire "Guardian" unless you want to waste time failing inspections and pay the cost of damage to neighboring property, since Guardian has now forced its own client to pay the cost of the damage. I was very, very pleased with the entire Guardian Impact Windows experience. I contracted with them to replace two sets of sliders at my intercoastal facing condo with Hurricane grade impact sliders. They also removed and disposed of my old sliders and hurricane shutters. After getting quotes from six different referred vendors Guardian's price after negotiations was the best and their service was excellent. Sales Manager Vincent was very helpful in helping me understand the process, the timing, and the contract manager Lisa was always available Via phone or text when I needed her or had a question. They took care of all of the city and condo association approvals efficiently. She was able to fit my tight schedule for installation. The installation crew of four men led by Omar was professional and worked hard all day, and the finished product is great. They also had someone come a couple of days later to make adjustments that I requested. Spending significant money like this felt risky at first but they were reassuring the entire process. I would recommend them highly best experience. My stepdad had a different company put in his patio windows. It took so long to get, they charged so much money and they failed inspection twice. Zero stars if that were an option. I contacted Guardian Windows and Doors for a quote on new front doors. After receiving an initial quote, they called me a week later asking why I didn't move forward and then volunteered that they could magically get the price down to my "target number." Fine. I agreed to review an updated estimate as long as it was emailed to me so I could actually read it. That's when the nonsense started. They claimed there was a "glitch in the system" and said they had to send a manager out in person. The manager shows up and somehow still cannot email OR print an estimate, yet expects me to sign off on a $10,000 project on the spot. When I said I needed the price breakdown and fine print emailed before signing anything, he flat out told me, "I will not give you your estimate so you can shop it." Let that sink in. A company refusing to provide a written estimate for work they want you to commit thousands of dollars to. He then tried to guilt me by saying he came in on his day off just to get my signature, which I never asked for or agreed to. Extremely unprofessional and manipulative. When I refused to sign without documentation, the pressure tactics continued. To top it off, someone from the office told me the CEO would call me that Monday. That call never happened. This entire experience felt shady, high-pressure, and dishonest. What kind of legitimate company won't email you an estimate? What kind of business demands a signature while refusing to provide written pricing? I wouldn't trust a single word this company says. If you value transparency, professionalism, or basic business ethics, stay far away. Absolute Mickey Mouse operation. read more

In light of some insistence, I've been asked to change my one-star review with a promise that they would not call again. The owner kept his promise, and that this why I upgraded my review. I hope he trained his marketing staff not to harass and not be extremely aggressive with potential clients, especially when a potential customer repeatedly requests to be taken off the call list and blocks the phone numbers from the company, over and over. It was harassment, but I appreciate the owner/manager dealing directly with me about it. read more

Andrew made a lot of promises none were delivered (timeline was much longer) ( price became higher than we agreed) , as the work was being done i felt like i had a bunch of ex cons at my property . one of them made some very scary comments to my wife. Buyer beware: Guardian Impact Windows & Roofing installed impact windows throughout our home, but we had nothing but issues from day one, including amongst other things, the installation crew, who in our opinion did not have the skill set which resulted in poor workmanship. The crew purchased and used a caulk product to seal all 13 windows and a sliding glass door, which product was for "exterior" use only, and takes 21 days to cure (dry) vs. an appropriate "interior" product which only takes between 24 and 48 hours to dry. Due to the overwhelming smell and off gassing, we had to leave the house for several days. It is our opinion as well that the actual caulking application was sloppy (photos attached) with excess globs of caulk all around the interior windows. We requested a few times that the company remove it and do it over with the proper product, to which they ignored/refused. We then hired an outside company to do the job, so not to continue inhaling the obnoxious and toxic fumes for 21+ days. Also, it is our opinion that the front door installation was not installed correctly, because the door did not close/lock properly. As well, one of the workers broke our existing lock and we had to purchase a new one. Also, they used our existing 30 year framing around the front door (photos attached). Throughout the project we addressed several issues with the company, to which they claimed no responsibility except for them coming back to remove and replace the wood trim/framing, which in our opinion should have been changed from the start. Their contract stipulates a one year warranty, however, they did nothing to rectify the caulking issue, nor reimburse us for any related out of pocket expenses we incurred. Of note, Guardian failed the county inspection of the project two times, back to back, due to a couple of issues, with a pass only on the third time. However, the inspector only looks at structural work and does not take into consideration aesthetics (caulking). With the thousands of dollars we spent, we feel that good customer service and professionalism should be a priority, which, in our opinion this company lacks. read more

In November of 2023 we hired this company to install impact windows and a metal roof on our home. Little did we know that it was soon to become a disaster. Everything and anything you can think of went wrong. It was Murphys law full effect. Mainly to blame on the incompetence of the office staff ****** and *******. They are clueless about what they are doing to the point where the had the inspector come out to my home to see a job that wasnt even started yet. But it doesnt end there. The second time around, she forgot to place the documents required in the folder for the inspector. Again, clueless! So after the inspector coming out twice unnecessarily, the third time he realized that the roofing guys had skimped us out on some metal. They swept it under the rug as if they measured wrong mind you, we pay for the metal by the foot and they were pocketing approx 4 feet by 15 feet worth of metal. When they were finished I couldnt even tell the roof was done. It honestly looked worse than when they started. It was so sloppy we ended up having to complain about it which in the end they never fixed. My mistake was letting them start on the windows after seeing the disaster they were. But, we had already paid for them, IN CASH!!!! $48,000 for both windows and roof, for a job that looks like was done as a DIY project. The crew that came to install the windows broke the stucco, the dry wall, the window ***** and when we pointed it out to them they acted like they did nothing. Again we took pictures and send the to the corporate office. NOTHING was done. Instead they refused to install a window which we had agreed on the contract that they would install and never came back to fix any of the other stuff they broke. But the icing on the cake was when I recieved a letter from the county stating that the permits were not closed yet! A job yeah was supposed to be closed 3 months ago! And when brought to their attention we got ignored. read more
