They say you can taste the structure of a wine, and that structure comes from the winemaker. I now believe that to be true. My latest visit was to pick up a couple of bottles of Viognier that we loved so much from our first tasting. Tucked away in an industrial park down Bell Ro in Windsor part of the artisan alley. This is a gem. Nothing fancy as a location but it is more the "normal" small producer with out all the glamorous tasting room - my kind of space where you can talk about the history and story of the wines and taste at the same time. Loved a couple of their reds as well, but the winemaker has his style, and it is great. Give them a try, once in the tasting room you could be anywhere in the world. This is a hidden Sonoma County gem! Tucked into an industrial area, it's pretty unassuming at first glance. The wines though are top notch! We were told it's a family run business where everyone pitches in. Their red wines in particular, were phenomenal. We had a 2012 Zine and a blend called Gratitude that were the standouts of the afternoon. We will definitely be back to try all that they have to offer! read more

We stumbled upon this hidden little gem in Windsor yesterday and decided to go inside and do a tasting. We got a very personalized experience and tour of the facility. You can feel the passion that the amazing owners, Olga Fernandez and Martin Guerrero, have about making their wines. It shows in the flavor of their wines. Although their Zinfindels- especially the one in French Oak - were my favorite, I also really enjoyed their Boy and Girl Labels, particularly the Scarlett, Dominic, and Dimitri which were named after their niece and grandsons. We had such a lovely visit with Olga and Martin. Theirs is a true love story and its clear that they are passionately in love and passionate about their wine! Hidden gem in wine country. Excellent wines. This is a family endeavor for Martin and Olga, and clearly a passion for both. The wines were excellent. Unfined, unfiltered approach allows the wine to age, especially the zinfandels. We tasted zinfandels from 2003, 2004! Who knew they would age so well. While most other wineries are tasting and selling their 2020 and 2021 reds, I left with a 2004 and 2014 Zinfandel. Both had robust fruity flavors as you would expect, but a smooth silky mouthfeel you'd expect from a fine cab. Martin is a humble man, but don't let that fool you, he knows what he is doing in crafting some excellent wines. Don't expect fancy facilities or views, this visit is all about the wines and Olga and Martin, and so worth it. read more

Wow - this tasting room was a delightful, unexpected surprise. Located in Windsor's Artisan Alley (aka Beverage District), this mom & pop shop is making/pour some of the best reds around town. No joke. Don't come here expecting a fancy schmancy tasting lounge. This is a no-frills, industrial kind of space that can accommodate roughly 10 people maximum. So be sure to call in advance to schedule an tasting. The wines are produced by a lovely husband/wife team (Olga Fernandez and Martin Guerrero). He's more of a back-of-the-house guy/winemaker. And she is definitely a charming front-of-the-house hostess with the mostest. Together, they will guide you through some of their house varietals (some of which are named after their nieces and grandkids). Their Pinot Noir and Zin is definitely worth the visit. Believe me when I say that you'll be impressed with the wines that this dynamic duo is producing here (and I'm not even a big wine guy). You won't walk away from here empty handed. This is a red wine lovers paradise! What a hidden gem! We wouldn't have known about this place if the lady owner at St Florian's didn't recommend to us. It's a small family owned tasting room but you can really taste the love. The owners were such sweet hearts and let us try all the wines that were open and few straight from barrels in their production room. I believe their names are Olga and Guerrero. They were very friendly and told us about themselves and answered questions we had. They buy best grapes from vineyards and produce their own wine. We bought wines ranging from $45-85. read more

We loved hearing the story of how, through hard work and talent, they got their own label and are able to produce world quality wine. This may have been our first visit, but it won't be the last. STOP AT THIS TASTING ROOM! This place is such a diamond in the rough! Olga and Martin are absolutely incredible people with even more incredible stories. Olga runs marathons and dominates! There is a whole wall dedicated to all of her amazing achievements. Not only were the owners amazing but their wine was some of the best I have had in the area! We stumbled upon this place after being at an event nearby and we are so glad we did! They asked us what kind of wine we liked and we were a mixed bag but all agreed we like rose. They didn't have a rose quite ready yet but they allowed us to try some anyway. It is incredible! I can not wait till it is bottled and ready to go! I will be back to buy several. My friend Jen, who I was with, does not like red wine normally but she found a few here that she loves! We just happened upon Copperage Winery. Started talking to 3 young men that worked there about the wine barrels racks they were selling. They were nicest young men we have talked to in a long time. Copperage Winery is lucky to have them. After loading the truck one of the men brought over a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. We saved it for a special dinner that we had last night. Being new to wine tasting, only a couple of years, it was one of the better red wines we have had. Can't wait to go back and try their other wines. read more

Had one of the best wine tasting experiences today at Guerrero Fernandez winery. Martin and his lovely wife Olga went all out to ensure we had a wonderful wine tasting experience. Outstanding Pinots and zinfandels, Cabs were bright and petit verdot was special. They gave vintage wines too that are very nice. Martin gave us some barrel tastings of his futures that were amazing.
