So, I'm a pretty big fan of Guitars. It's a very large place with loud music and a huge dance floor. Plenty of bars to choose from. They play mainly country music, which I'm personally not a huge fan of; but they do mix it up with hip hop. Most of the people dress in modern western wear, but there are plenty of people who wear their club outfit; country western outfits are not required. Most of the girls here prefer to dance. If you go here, I suggest you learn how to two-step (a girl who frequents here taught me how - it's easy). Thursday night is "College Night," which attracts a large crowd. I've been on Wednesday nights and was not impressed. Friday nights are really good, and of course Saturday nights are hoppin'. There's a large billiard room that usually has open tables to play on. The tables are all 6 Feet standard quarter operated bar tables, and the cues all suck. Pool players: hustle here, don't expect a quality game. Really, if country music isn't your thing, don't worry about it; just go and have fun. It's a great place with cheap drinks, very good bartenders, and little drama. I'll keep going back. read more

For a country bar, the dj plays country about 20% of the time. If you want to two step, waltz, or swing, you're better off in Lubbock than here. Fridays and Saturdays are better, but that's not a high bar from the only other day theyre open. (3 days a week). If I could give one star I would. Two bouncers (said they were managers) heavy set guys one Zack one Chris? They refused to give a name to us. Accusing people in the military of fake ID when we were willing to call the police to verify is maddening. When you live in state but claim out of state as your residence it is a normal part of military life to have a different address on the card. You should train your employees to know that. It is both embarrassing and not a good look for business. Then they called The Ugly Lime to advise them not to let is in as well. All the while not confirming that the license is real. Why would we wait to verify with the law if it was not? Absolute garbage of a business. Thank goodness I do not live here. Never going to this garbage run establishment again. read more

Yup, they've earned the bad rating they've got. Was in here mid evening a Thursday. The place has capacity for 400+. We were 2 of maybe 6 customers. Seated at bar closest to front door. We got a beer & a cocktail. She was pleasant and efficient. There was another woman behind the bar cutting fruit. Then 2 other Bartenders showed up. They were having a deep discussion. When they were done we were ready for a refill. Their back were turned and they weren't checking on the 5 customers seated at the bar. We finally got their attention- the most petite of the bartenders - she looks at us and our empties, makes a face sticking her chin up and turns around! We promptly left. Was in town for the weekend and came to G&C both Friday and Saturday night. Bartenders were on point and plenty of them. I was impressed with the size of the dance floor. .50 well drinks were a nice surprise too. I had a great time and will be back again. I have never in my life witnessed or dealt with blatant disrespect and racism and I'm going to say that because I'm calling it how it was. I already strongly dislike and didn't want to go to this establishment (Guitars and Cadillac) but all of our friends migrated there so we agreed to go. When we walked in the bouncer told my husband he couldn't enter because his shirt was "white" even though it was clear and evident it wasn't a plain tshirt and it was a cream/tan color. We stood there for 20 minutes questioning him and I kid you not 5-7 people with plain white shirts were allowed into this establishment(white males). At this point I'm pissed because I show them the different between white and tan with his undershirt and actual shirt and then they say oh well I guess it's not white come on in. ABSOLUTELY TF not. They are saying they have a dress code and when we ask to see their policy they point to a sign that says dress code will be strictly enforced without showing me an actual policy. Am I surprised or shocked this happened here absolutely not but I have loved everything about living here and making the most out of where the Air Force has located me until last night. I will NEVER give this place my business I promise you that. 16 yrs I have traveled and been placed in areas where the demographics has not played in my favor. I was harassed at the end of the night. I was leaving the club from the bathroom. They had a stopped me and told me to "come with me" . With authority as if I committed a crime. I complied and followed the bouncer. Not sure what I had done. Another bouncer came to us, saying that I just needed to button up my flannel shirt. This really shook me. I thought I had committed some crime or something. I was wearing a black T-shirt and a yellow flannel shirt on top. I had unbuttoned my flannel shirt at the end of the night because I was hot. The man that had pulled me from the bathroom, had a security eat price in, making him feel like someone important. I really felt like I did something wrong. And just to think I had my flannel shirt unbuttoned. I asked them where was the dress code. And there was nothing posted. And on top of all that, the dress code for women is not existent because all the women I saw there was more bare skin than I would have imagine for a night club. And to think how I was harassed for just unbuttoning my flannel shirt. I am just in shocked. I am not even the type to write a bad review about a company. But they really made me upset. Making feel like I did something wrong. For some reasons, my unbuttoned flannel shirt was treated like some crime in this club. After to night I would never go back there again. They made me feel very unwelcome there. And they treated me like criminal. I did nothing wrong, and for a place that has a dress code... really doesn't apply to women. With most of them baring a lot of skin. So I'm it sure how my old ass, not baring any skin was offensive. So again, I'm writing this review on that place because my one night out with friends... which doesn't happened much was ruined to a bad and dumb security personnel in this establishment. This bar is definitely made for Two stepping. Don't go in your usual Club wear ladies and gents. This is a jeans, dance boots, and the optional cow hat dress code. Beers are $3, water is $2, and wells are $5 if memory serves me right. I went a group of friends on Ladies night, so we said a pretty penny. The usual cost is $5 - 15 from what I've been told. Bring a little extra if you want to check in our coat at the front desk. Parking is free, but very limited near the building. If you come around 11, expect to be hunting for a spot for 5-10 minutes. This place does switch up the music from Honky Tonk to LMFAO. But, the majority of the time will be swing/line/ two-steppin' dance worthy tunes. Do be aware that College nights are fairly packed which will increase the drunken banters. Over all, it's fun if you go in a group and it helps if your a pretty social person. read more

I am in town for my sons baseball tournament and was recommend this location and wore a standard Nike short sleeve shirt and was denied access. I was with a group of parents thats later spent $1000 at various local bars... others had short sleeves.. good luck being white only read more

Great bar if you like country mixed with a little rap music. Drinks are priced right nice pool shooting and patio area. College night is packed lots of fun. Ask for Jake he is a great bartender. Owner David is a great guy as well. After having too much to drink he had a manager drive us home in his personal vehicle and another employee drive our vehicle home. Top notch service. Saturday- 11:30 Was looking forward to coming here, another bartender had recommended the place. When you walk in its well lit, with badass decor. The door girl was extra nice, we paid five dollars each and walked down a small hall way. I wish I could say after that we had a good experience but we were immediately approached by a large man telling us to follow him. After walking us back to the entrance he began gesturing us toward the door saying we couldn't stay and they wouldn't serve us. Lucky my friend explained to him that if we had to leave we were owed a refund because we hadn't been inside for even a minute. The girl who was once extra nice seemed bitter that she had to refund us, the bouncer threw the money at us. Pretty much feel like this place does this often. Thought they could scam $10 from us by allowing us in and then all of a sudden deciding we weren't able to stay. Not coming back, very disappointed. read more
