Since Monday September 15 (Monday) we had no AC and our houses temperature reached a ridiculous temperature of 89. I called Patrick Taylor from Taylor AC and I told him about my issues. I told him I was just looking for estimates and if he does them for free which he replied YES. He said he could be out there and look at what I had. I received his estimate that night and told him that I would like his assistance in getting me a new AC. On Wednesday the equipment was dropped of at his company and he said he will be here today to install it (Thursday). I was super pleased because I thought it was going to be another week but it was the next day. His team got here and went right to work. They were incredible and fast and efficient on getting us comfortable again. After a couple of hours we noticed our temperature dropping from 89 to about 80 and could feel the difference. What I liked most about the company that if they didn't like or how it looked they went back and fixed it. They were very picky on how they were making my AC look. It was initially determined that there was a leak in the system, and then after more diagnostics they found a cracked compression fitting. A cracked compression fitting is not something that they would have installed, as it came with the original system 6 years ago. After talking with the customer support manager (Greg), they covered the entire cost, including all of the freon that was used. VERY PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION !!!! But, the fellow that just called me said it was "strange" I owned my apartment/condo and that the company has never done work for me. You also advertise "no additional charge for emergency services" but he said pricing would start at $300 for after hours. He didn't ask me to confirm my address. As I was rapidly losing interest in the conversation, another company called. I'd probably amend the "no additional charge" statement and and suggest not telling a client it's odd they own their property.

The utility came and cleaned out the sewer main, blockage solved. In the process she discovered that our sewer clean out valve was buried about a foot down in our yard. He attempted to fix it, said it was repaired, and then left our home. Before leaving, he also gave us written instructions on what to do if the water heater started leaking again. About 13 minutes after he left, the entire unit began leaking heavily and flooded our laundry room and garage. A technician should never leave a home with a newly installed unit that was already leaking during installation. If the unit was defective, it should have been replaced or shut off before leaving. The flooding required professional remediation and repairs. The company's insurance carrier ultimately accepted liability and paid for the damage, but the situation should never have happened in the first place. We also requested installation documentation during the claim process and had difficulty obtaining it. Very disappointing experience.

I like the inverter design that is able to throttle power usage incrementally rather than a single speed or 2-speed unit that other HVAC businesses offered. He also threw in a UV light to disinfect the air and he also included a voltage monitor and surge protector for the outside unit. He was patient and understanding as I waited for my bank to issue a credit card convenience check to help me avoid credit card charges. I did not anticipate this and I should have been prepared. I would much rather go to Eagle than use bigger HVAC franchises.
