It is free except that you have to buy the books. Back in 1996 when I was going here the books were about $350, that's pretty cheap I hear compared to your College/University books. You most likely have to go down to the Union hall IBEW 716 off of 610 North and get signed up to begin this. Classes were on Mondays for the low voltage apprentices, Monday and Thursdays for the electricians. Beginning time was 6:00 and usually lasted till about 10:00 pm. While going here you usually are put in the Union books for jobs that will have you punching down your industrial RJ 45 telephone/computer jacks, running 25 + pair back bone cable from the server to the actual computer outlets in offices. If not doing this most likely you are being taught the codes and precedures in installing electrical panels, grounding, pipe bending etc on the electrical side. The teachers here are VERY informing and are master electricians in the day time theirselves. If you care about your studies with the books and what they have to teach then they will not let you fail. Have you ever seen Fisk Electric or Melton Electric van just to name a few? These are the unionized companies where the apprentices come from and in fact that very same computer that you are using might have been worked on by one of them at one time. If I had to do it all over again, I would certainly always recommend here and do it again, You must pass a back ground, drug and aptitude test before beginning these classes.

You are provided with fulltime work during the duration of the program. Once you graduate.. the skills, work history, and credentials you have earned can get you a good paying job anywhere in the country. The men and women who helped me through the program are the best professionals in the trade, as well as approachable and helpful. Things are strict but fair, and you get what you put in. I recommend this school and this Apprenticeship program to anyone who will listen. Its a really good thing to be a part of.

I began taking swim lessons with Greta from The British Swim School in Pearland from mid April…read moreuntil the end of may . I could not float at all . I was especially scared to float on my back . I would panic as soon as I would even lay back and therefore would sink . I didn't know any proper swim strokes or how to tread water . On my first lesson I had Greta made me very comfortable . She very thoroughly walked me through step by step on how to float . I learned how to float on my first lesson . Which for years I have never been successful at . For reference I am 21 years old . After my time with Greta I am now able to Float effortlessly , Tread Water, swim freestyle , breast stroke and backstroke . I am very grateful to Greta for she has given me skills I have wanted/needed for a very long time . I am definitely going to put my new skills to practice for my upcoming snorkeling trip . Which was my initial reasoning for signing up for lessons . However there are so many benefits that have come alongside of learning how to swim . Greta is a wonderful teacher and I definitely recommend her as your swimming instructor. If you're wanting to learn how to swim then Greta has got you covered !!!

This was my second test taken at this location. Interesting that the staff was completely different…read moreyet they were just as professional as the first. I guess if you are going to have a high turnover at least make them excellent. The personal attention was the best. Everyone wore masks. You are told that if you are warned about improper wearing of masks your test will be canceled. The cubicles were immaculately clean. Lots of cameras to ensure there is no cheating. Well I have one more exam to go so I'll be back soon.

This user has zero friends and only 4 reviews. I reported the review and Yelps response was that the review has been previously reported. Hmmmm.... The user states that Emery Weiner only accepts wealthy white Jewish students which is 100% false. Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of attending a Big Brother Big Sister event and met a lovely African American young man who is in the BBBS program. The boy comes from a low income family and is in HS at Emery and is excelling! In fact my cousin attended the school several years ago and was offered the a scholarship. The school enrolls students and hires teacher of all walks of life and income background. As for the school, the teachers are highly qualified and the facility is top notch. The school also offers West U little league and other sports leagues to use their grounds. The school is extremely welcoming to the Houston community as a whole. From what I understand is 100% of the seniors are college bound which is fantastic!

It's not easy going to classes over the summer, but my son loved the way Mary and Albert have made their SAT prep club not only very helpful and informative but warm and welcoming. Also, my son and I sat and talked to both professors before starting the class and had a chance to meet. I think it was a great idea to see if both student and professors were on the same page as to the expectations of the class moving forward. As a parent, I appreciated the class size being limited to 6 and the expectations laid out for all to agree on. I would recommend these professors to anyone.

The classes my daughter attended were on 30 mins per class for 4 days out the week . I didn't feel like that was enough time to learn anything but I was wrong . She is learning several different techniques within that 30 mins with no pressure applied . Instructor Lucas is her favorite so far . Check in is very easy as well. Best to go in the Webster location, if you have any questions ,because some things weren't offered online for some reason. A shirt and bag are given to carry your kiddos items in .
