I've told them multiple times that I'm not interested and to remove my name from their database. Well they don't do that and on the last occasion i told them i would contact the state AG and file a formal complaint. Well, Alex, you f'ed up buddy!!! You didn't heed my warning and you contacted me again today. Time to file that complaint against you and your company MF'er!!!

I barely…read morehad the time to come home and lick my wounds from the terrible opportunity I was currently at and grew to despise the thought that I would waste away what little time I did have once home to search for my next great disaster. After hundreds of seedy emails, dozens of phone screens, and several in-person interviews, I could not have been more bitter or jaded from wasting my time and energy with the loathsome and self-serving headhunters who tossed me like darts at their job boards. And then I met Rich Gardner. When I was applying to college, I was so sick with schoolwork and so against the thought of more of it that my mom had to push me forward with applications and visits, ultimately convincing me it was the right thing. At a time when I had all but lost hope, a thoughtfully-toned email offering a "stable" long-term contract on a "very collaborative team" with "an excellent corporate culture" was the start of a tremendous relationship that helped me all the same with my career. And much like my mom, Rich spent most of his time forcing one stubborn elephant up a flight stairs, hammering me with emails and phone calls to motivate me beyond my capacity. And when put in front of the team for my interview, there were no surprises, as his thoughtful and professional convictions ultimately convinced me much like my mom's in the end. The people were fantastic, the products were state-of-the-art, and I felt genuinely at home. No more opportunities in North Dakota, no more wildly illiterate emails without a single mention of your name, no more bait-and-switch false promises--this was the real deal. Somewhere between the insultingly low wage offers and the promise of traversing the bloated egos of another tech startup, this opportunity was the porridge that was just right. Ultimately, Rich proved to me that I wasn't a terrible prospect, but was just being paired with terrible opportunities from terrible recruiters. He found me a fantastic place with a tremendous sense of togetherness that is rarely seen in tech. It was just three years ago that I was serving quail egg omelets at a luxury hotel. Now, my net worth has quadrupled, all the while getting to help make the world a better, safer place. I'm selling the rights to of my life story to Disney as we speak. Oh, and if you were wondering, I got the job :)

My daughters are 10 and 12 and enjoy taking the classes and regularly auditioning for visiting agents. They have extremely busy extra curricular activity schedules, which often conflict with each other. However, Brett has been very flexible about allowing them to make up missed classes. Our older daughter was signed by a New York agent and has had numerous auditions and call backs. She has appeared on a magazine cover, and had a non speaking movie role. What they are really gaining out of the association with Open Call is; confidence, self esteem, learning how to present themselves, understanding rejection, time management skills, self evaluation, negotiation and organizational skills, increased reading speed and better comprehension so they can quickly analyze and memorize dialog and scripts. Most recently they have started to be more fashionable and finding their individual sense of style. They are enjoying expressing their creativity with clothes and different looks. My husband and I think both our girls are very talented and photogenic. What parent doesn't? However, we are realistic. Everything in life requires training, exposure, some luck, solid work experience, and hard work on your part to promote/market yourself as well. Most of all REALISTIC expectations and self knowledge. We are happy with how Open Call manages their office and what they have to offer. Most importantly, our girls enjoy the classes, like their instructors and the staff. They are more confident and comfortable performing on stage and presenting themselves in public. I have recommended Open Call Talent Management to my friends and family.

Applied online and got a call back from Jen who was very friendly, told me to come take a visit for an interview. The building was very nice, prime location in Financial District. Front desk person asked me to fill out an application and led me to Jen after. Jen was telling me that she has been working at John Leonard for almost 30 years holy moly! She was very professional, knew what she was doing, and sounded like she has a great relationship with their clients (employers). Asked me couple questions about my skills and experience, what I want to do in a long run. After the interview, she explained some of the jobs they have in the system and asked me if any of those spark my interest. Really liked this short term assignment in Cambridge, was places there a week after that interview! Went through many assignments with various employers through John Leonard so far, was a great experience to work with all those employers. John Leonard seems to have a good clientele of employers that would treat you well as long as you do your job! Long story short- no matter what kind of career goals you have, John Leonard will listen to you, learn your story to find a great assignments that fit to your needs and qualification! Shout out to Jen, you are awesome!
