Mr Barber was court appointed to represent my son in a Assault Family Violence Charge…read more I could not locate my son. He has severe wounds from a house fire in April '26. Mr Barber finally called me back after I had left 7 msgs for him. I was explaining my son'scondition to him when he, raised his voice and start to stutter and after a few seconds said, " Ma'am do you think the jail notifies me of your son's whereabouts?" I said, They should." He said, We'll they dont!" And slammed the phone down so hard, I literally felt it on my end. I thought it was his job to make sure his client was receiving the care he needed to receive a fair arraignment and trial! I was not rude or disrespectful to this man-- to be treated in this manner! He had his own Assault Family Violence charge a few years back and I was very hopeful he would represent my son with due diligence to the best of his ability. At the very least; to respect a woman who is his elder. Didn't happen!
