A month or so ago I took a basic pistol class up in my home state. The entire class I was very uncomfortable because I did not feel safe and I felt very out of place because of my political views. As you can imagine I was extremely nervous to take another class but to get your concealed carry in Florida, you have to. I googled classes and Geoff (Global Photologists) popped up. I sent him an email and got an immediate response! I ended up calling to explain my situation a little better so he could help me decide if I should take another basic pistol course or the CCW course. We talked for about 45 mins. I signed up for the CCW course. He was so patient with me on the phone and did not make me feel stupid or like I was a bother. The day of the class rolls around and I am not anxious or nervous at all. I get into class and it is 150% about safety and not at all about politics. I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed. The way he teaches is engaging and he uses his experience to explain real-life situations. He wants you to learn, understand, and pass the class. He is so patient and willing to answer every question even if it means staying late or talking on the phone for 45 minutes on a Sunday morning. Really enjoyed the class my wife and I shot perfect targets! it's was all because of Mr. Geoffrey BKA (Yoda) and we see why. My wife was extremely afraid of weapons due to her childhood and honestly out of 3 instructors she was counted out. He found out what a coach solution would be for my wife and she passed. Listen he actually got my wife to Rack the weapon and have fun. I actually learned a lot as well I learned how to be a better shot I learned how get my grip perfect because of him and my fingers straighten up now I have a better shot. might not sound like much but he is who helped us through everything and that meant a heck of a lot to us. Geoff is an excellent trainer and shows extreme patience with any question you have in his classes. I have taken 2 classes with him so far and I plan on taking more (despite a long commute to get there) because he is that knowledgable! I would recommend him to anyone and especially to beginners. I am not a beginner and yet I still learned so much more than I thought I already knew about firearms. I highly recommend him, especially if you have a young beginner starting out. We had a 16-yr old in the class and Geoff made sure to include him in discussions and made sure he was well equipped to safely use the range. Geoff Davis worked with me one on one at the range and was excellent. I attended a basic pistol class at a different range and didn't even come close to qualifying. Geoff brought out all the necessary gear and diagnosed several things I was messing up and patiently coached me through to easily qualifying in a single session. Just to make sure I was good to go, he had me try qualifying single handed and I was also able to qualify strong and weak handed. This man is simply amazing. I attended Geoff's rifle safety and shooting class. The safety information is comprehensive--for owning, storing, handling, transporting, cleaning, loading, unloading, aiming, and firing a rifle. The shooting information teaches various stances to use, how to hold the rifle, how to steady your aim, and when it is safe to pull the trigger. A 150-page NRA manual of the material presented is provided. Geoff is a totally dedicated instructor. He ensures that each student understands every bit of vital information. this was the second CCW course that i took within a week. The first course 4 hrs including range time (yes i received my certfication) left me even more puzzled, too many unanswered questions .I took Geoffs 8.5 hour classroom course plus range time and i now feel educated ,extremely confident with my firearm and most importantly Geoff stresses the new found RESPONSIBILITY required to possess a CCW. I took Geoff's Basics of Rifle Shooting course and found him to be a knowledgeable and personable instructor. He uses his past experiences and relates them in a manner that makes the class interesting and easy to learn from. He provided constructive criticisms that will help improve my shooting abilities (haven't held a rifle since I was in Scouting - many years ago!). I could not have been more pleased with the experience attending both Basic Pistol and Pistol Instructor courses. The knowledge Geoff not only has but gives to his students really is priceless. WOW! What a great day at the NRA RSO training. Having been a RSO in the Army and National Guard many years ago I went to the class expecting to be bored.
