I had my first concealed class today. The class was with Ryan and he was an awesome instructor! He made me feel very comfortable about everything. He explained the rules and regulations very thoroughly. I enjoyed it being a smaller class because it was more personal. The class was about 50$ and two hours long. There was no problem with parking. I took the online course and followed it up the next day with the live fire training. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable of Florida's gun laws. He made both the online portion and the live fire portion fun and informative. He has set up his online portion so that you can go to it at anytime once your training is complete and answer many specific questions that both new and experienced carriers might have. Instructor Ryan with Tamp Carry is outstanding! I went to his class in February which was fun and very informative. He gave step by step directions on how to apply for a license to carry however all the information was on the website. I reviewed the website before attending the class, scheduled my appointment at the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services the following Tuesday and received my license to carry within 7 days. Today Ryan showed me and my daughter how to correctly handle a firearm. He was patient, kind, and funny. He showed us a few different firearms and we fired 2 of them. As a relatively new gun owner, I wanted to take advantage of all of the opportunities available to me regarding firearm ownership, which included getting a concealed carry permit. I'm glad I picked this option for my class. Ryan the instructor was informative and imparted very valuable knowledge about the benefits of legally carrying a self defense weapon and the consequences of abusing of them.
