If you are having a colonoscopy done, be very careful that they "code" it correctly as "preventative" and not "diagnostic." Was denied care at the urgent care walk in at Willow Ave. today 11/5/2025. The NP (Kristen) refused to see me as I had been seen for the same issue (chest congestion and cough) at the Hanshaw Rd. office two weeks ago. That is actually what I was told! I was then told that I could only be seen by my primary at this point (!?!?!?). Amy @the front desk (very kind) checked and my primary had no appointments until JANUARY! I was beyond angry. I demanded to see the office manager (another kind person) and she was able to get me a next day appointment with a Dr. Kuntz, he is not my primary GP. So, I was denied care because I am still sick?!?! I have been a patient at Guthrie for over 20 years and have experienced a sharp decline in practioner quality and availability for the past few years. I will be switching to another healthcare practice. read more

The place if staffed by incompetent practitioners. The only good part is the clean building and reception staff. you cannot get any diagnoses from them positive or negative. They advertise they have labs and imaging, but they do not use them if are a walk-in. I am not sure what medical establishment educated and trained the nurses, but this is not the us standard of care in any other city. Do not waste your time! read more

Was scheduled to see a psychiatrist to receive ADHD treatment, but upon arrival I was told there was no psychiatrist and was instead seen by Dr. Galyanova, a general practitioner. This doctor was extremely dismissive of my symptoms and instead told me that "because I had gotten into a good university I clearly did not need medication management". Upon hearing this I immediately felt uncomfortable receiving treatment from her because she is clearly uneducated regarding mental health treatment, but I was cordial and instead decided to write this review. She then proceeded to ask me what my symptoms were and as I told her my story not even a minute in she interrupted me and moved on. I felt like I was being treated like a liar who knew nothing due to her dismissiveness and confrontational statements. She then proceeded to deny me treatment because "I was too complicated of a case for her" after I began asking how we could move forward with treatment. She never listened to me and instead spent almost 15 minutes making me show her that I had all my vaccinations and inputting them into the system, which wasn't even what I had come in for! Overall a pretty terrible experience with her, but aside from the doctor everyone else was pleasant. I kindly ask that Dr. Galyanova is not given mental health patients or is at least encouraged to further her education regarding the subject, because I am afraid of the possibility that others who are in need of mental health help may be neglected in her care. read more

Really good if you like suffering for months at a time with debilitating arthritis while they set on your prescription because they can't be bothered to send it to the pharmacy. I mean sure my fingers are all crooked and fat with swelling and I can barely walk .Thanks for nothing Guthrie. read more

Forget any practice that is managed by these unscrupulous people, Guthrie Medical Group. They will overbill, underperform, delay billing... they're the worst of the worst. I went to a family practice in Cortland for years, and then about a year ago they sold out to these jerks. My next appointment was triple the cost, for the same procedures I'd been getting for years, in particular, they charged me through the roof for a simple A1C, almost 1000 dollars, and, to top it off, they didn't bill that until almost five months later!! When I called about the bill, thinking it must be in error, as I always paid immediately, they said it's due to the processing costs at the hospital. Those tests have always been done at the hospital lab, and I confirmed with the hospital that they hadn't made any significant increases in their charges afterwards. When I asked how come it took almost 5 months to bill me for this, they claimed it was because they had to spend so much time adjusting the billing codes, which is basically a scam they use to rip you off. Never, ever, ever trust these people with anything. They cost more, and now you don't even see a doctor, but a PA. Total scumbags, imo read more

I was very impressed with this clinic!! Everyone I met was so kind and friendly, and no one appeared rushed. Dr. Kuntz himself has fantastic bedside manner, was thorough, took the time to listen, was respectful and informative, patient centered, and professional. I am writing solely about Dr. Galyanova. I am not a fan. She is dismissive of questions - I'm not talking about challenging her, just asking questions! She is not communicative about test results. She schedules blood tests and such without telling us; we first hear of it when we get a "reminder" call the night before it's scheduled. She tells us what she is going to do without context. When my mother saw her following a hospital stay, she ordered a test without checking to see if the hospital had already done it, which they had. But it was a pain to get her to actually check, because I clearly did not know what I was talking about. I have found a new doctor for my mom. read more

If you have a sick child don't plan on getting your sick child in for 4 to 5 days. Getting appointments for sick adults or anything else is not much better. Also if they lose a provider apparently it takes well over a year to replace them. Secretaries are often rude. It's a hassle to even be able to talk to a nurse in this office. I had to go in for a simple prescription refill due to the office staffs inability to communicate with each other and the doctors. They require 48 hours advanced notice for prescription refills (which I did a request in their online system and over the phone 5 days before I needed a refill). I had to go into the office bc they were refusing to fill my script the day I needed it (3days extra than their required 48 hours). A nurse apparently acknowledged my request for the prescription never told the doctor and thought she did and it was through the secretaries and many phone calls and an office visit that I learned this from the doctor himself. Staff other than the doctors are idiots with awful customer service skills. read more

How lucky am I, I just moved here from California and got this amazing primary physician, Dr. Cannariato. She has wonderful bedside manner, is extremely thorough and professional, and even remembers small details about things going on in my life that could be adding to my stress levels and therefore my health.
