After getting no less than 10 tree removal estimates for a huge, and I mean HUGE white oak tree that was dying in my backyard, I chose Guzman Brothers. The cost of tree removal, really no matter what the company, is expensive, and so I had wanted to find a company that would not only allow me to keep the oak, but cut it up for me so that I could cure it and use it next winter. There was a definite miscommunication between myself and the person I had been dealing with, and I discovered shortly into the tree removal that they were not at all expecting to do anything but cut up some of the branches, while it was my understanding that they were going to split the trunk pieces into firewood. It became clear as I continued communicating with the woman on the other end of our texts, (I think it was the owners wife?) that this is not something that they are at all used to doing, and that, in fact, they felt like they might be taking a loss in terms of man hours etc. HOWEVER, DESPITE THIS, they were amazing in sticking to the original expectations that I had and they sent their guys back over the second day to split up what was a huge tree. I cannot speak highly enough about their customer service. Despite my getting a bit aggravated and testy at times, the customer serviced person remained calm, explained everything very matter of factly, and repeatedly said, "we will make this right." Every member of the crew and customer service team were consummate professionals and it was extremely clear that their customers come first. The Guzman Brother (plus Cynthia) are top notch. I reached out to them on Yelp and they came that day for an estimate. I wasn't too sure because they didn't have many yelp reviews but their website was well done and they were both so nice, we went for it. We decided to hire them for the work and in the days leading up to and days after I spoke with Cynthia about the work to be completed and my satisfaction. She is so friendly. The brothers are amazingly hard workers. They arrived on time and worked for hours in the summer heat to trim our magnolia and wench out bushes from around our front. They didn't mind that I stayed in bed with an injured back and even checked on me before leaving. They cleaned up all the debris, more than was necessary, as a HUGE storm set in right as they were finishing up. They were soaking wet by the time they headed out. They also cleaned out the gutters which we happened to mention needing done. So glad they offer so many services. We will definitely hire again as we were thrilled with the results. read more

I contacted Guzman Brothers for an estimate recently after a wind storm broke off large branches from a maple tree and slightly damaged my backyard fence. Two attractive young people showed up promptly at the appointment time and gave me a competitive estimate for tree removal, stump grinding, and stump debris removal. They were able to do the work three days later and did a great job (fascinating to watch), again arriving on time and completing the work in about an hour and a half. They left the backyard completely free of limbs and debris. The cost I paid was hundreds of dollars less than I was quoted by a premium Cary tree service I have used in the past, and Guzman Brothers did just as good a job. I I found Guzman on the Thumbtack app, and if you don't have this app, it's the best way to request appointments and find good contractors locally.
