Dr. Patel is seriously the best! This is my second time seeing him and both times he's made me feel so heard and cared for. He always listens, gets right to the bottom of what's going on, and fixes the problem super quickly. I really appreciate how easy he makes the whole process. Very bad service! Just Ripping people off kind of Service. Had my Physical and Lab done, next week got a call to follow up. Got a call from Doctor to prescribe some medicines. Conversation went for 5 minutes. Few weeks later got a Bill of 170 dollars and Shows as Office Visit even though it was a phone call. Called my insurance company and they said Gwinnett Clinic claimed it as Office Visit. Called Gwinnett Clinic Tucker office clearly mentioned i would not be charged and yet they sent me a bill. This is lies and deception. read more

I've been to about 3 different clinics in this group and by far Tucker is my favorite location. Maria is so helpful and I absolutely love Dr. Patel, he's so easy to talk to about my concerns and he's very knowledgeable. it's taken me a while to find a PCP that I feel comfortable with and I will be staying here. read more

This place is horrible. No one calls you back no matter how many times you leave messages. There's always an excuse for why they couldn't call back. I would've never gone there if it wasn't an emergency. But i should've just waited for my PCP because this place is slow AF. A waste of copay. Everyone inside hates their job. Do not visit! Horrible customer service- very outdated. You can't talk to the dr. All they want to do is have you come in to file for insurance when all they have to do is call in a prescription. Plus they are so outdated. Never trust a de office that uses a pillow to prop your arm up to draw blood!! Only give 1 star because it's mandatory. I felt insulted to go there and I pay a hefty amount for my insurance benefits. I guess "clinic" means just that. read more

Today was the last straw for me at this place, the brown lady at the front desk is so horrible and hates her job. She is not welcoming in any sense. Let's break down my 2 visits at this place. I previously went here for an ongoing headache, I paid a $90 co-pay which was fine. When the doctor saw me, she said there was nothing she could do to me and referred me to the correct Doctor. She was also nice enough to offer me back the co-pay I paid. But the lady at the front desk wasn't having it. She was rude enough to make a big deal out of it right in front of me. I quote her saying " you wasted all that time on him and now you're giving him back his money?" Woooooow are you kidding me? I was just about to leave but the doctor gave me the envelope with my money back. Today I came for my aunt for possibly having a staph infection or ringworms. She's from Florida so we were wondering if they accepted Medicaid. And there was a language barrier between the our insurance and my aunt, so when we tried to give the phone to the lady the front desk she literally yelled back at us saying that she CANT TALK TO ANYONE. So I could already tell nothing has changed since my last visit. We then realized we had forgotten my aunts ID so I was gonna go home real quick to grab it because it's only five minutes away. The lady ran out as I was pulling out, stopped me and said that we have to come back at 2pm when it was only 11:40 at the time. I was like why? The lunch break hours are from 1-2. She said everyone will be on break by the time you get back, and I told her I will be back before 12 there's plenty of time. She refused and told me 2pm is the only time and rudely walked away without saying anything else. I don't know if she's divorced or going through menopause but she is rudest person I have ever encountered at a clinic. WILL NEVER COME BACK read more

I was there on May 29, 2009 and never have a I felt so unwelcome in a health care provider's office in my entire life. When I went in, there were no patients in the waiting room and after my encounter with the receptionist it became abundantly clear why not. I had just changed my PCP to this doctor because of the location so I had never seen him before. When I went to the counter, I asked if the doctor was in and the receptionist said why do you ask? I replied that I needed some refills and she asked why my regular doctor wouldn't refill them. I explained that this doctor was my doctor now and she gave me some paperwork to fill out. (We're talking about hypertension and hyperthyroid medication here not narcotics.) As I was filling out the paperwork, she says do you have the co-pay. I said yes. Then she said they only took credit cards not debit cards. I said fine, no problem. Then she said that they would have to take blood because of the hyperthyroid medication, I said fine. Then I asked if their A/C was working because there was sweat tricking down my back and she replied she was perfectly comfortable. I continued to fill out my paperwork then she asked who my former doctor was and when I told her, she said that this doctor wouldn't see me until he saw my medical records which in my experience takes about 2-3 days.Then why did she not tell me this upfront. This receptionist obviously did not want me to see the doctor for whatever reason. I felt as if I was in the Twilight Zone. I left and called BC/BS and changed my PCP immediately. Very strange place. Only one bizarre person behind the counter and no other sign of life in the whole place. Beware. read more

The doctors here are amazing, but the front receptionist is HORRIBLE. Her attitude, tone of voice, patience, just her entire demeanor. She yells visitors information across the waiting room, she barely listens to the patients request. She makes them feel uncomfortable, And embarrassed. read more

I have lumbar radiculopathy (lower back pain) and was told to see an orthopedic. I was looking for a facility that had longer hours than the typical 8am-4pm. That's when I found Gwinnet Clinic. I was contacted quickly after requesting an appointment online. A woman scheduled me to see Dr. J.J Shah, an orthopedic. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment time (5pm). I filled out some paperwork and was told I had to pay $100 because of my deductible. The doctors I see on a routine basis always bill the insurance company first...I was a little confused by this. I sat in the waiting room until 5:40pm....40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The nurse (?) who was not wearing any identification brought me back to this desk where she manually took my blood pressure (rare for these days where offices/hospitals are equipped with automatic machines). Then, she walked me into this exam room with bare walls, a small examination table, and 2 chairs. I regret not leaving at this point. At 6:15pm, 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, a doctor came in and mumbled as he introduced himself. He was NOT Dr. J.J Shah. He asks permission to get my records from my PCP. He listened briefly to my chief complaint and said I need to see a pain management specialist. Yes, I waited 1.5 hours for him to tell me he was not able to do anything. Normally, a doctor would order an MRI and prescribe a pain medication. He gave me the referral and that was it. I paid $100 for a "doctor" to hand me a piece of paper with another doctor's name on it. I would give this place 0 starts if I could. read more

Went for an annual Physical. Dr. Shah and the nurse seemed very nice and friendly. My visit was comfortable. Dr. Shah did seem a bit pushy though and was trying to prescribe me birth control which I told her I didn't want. She also mentioned how poor other contraceptive methods were, when I questioned her on this it was evident she was bending the truth to get me to take a prescription. Post physical I was sent a bill. When I tried to sort it out with the Secretary Sophie, she was extremely rude. Turns out in the end the nurse had given me a blood test that is not covered as part of the preventative annual physical. No one had informed me of this and I had specifically explained I was there for an annual preventative physical so why no one told me about the test I have no idea. When I tried to talk about it with the nurse she wasn't aware that the blood test wasn't considered preventative care and wasn't able to explain this to me. The secretary is terrible and one of the worst I have ever dealt with and the Dr is pushy. read more

I like that at any of the locations you are seen quickly. Its so nice that some locations are open on weekends too. For the most part, nice friendly staff at all locations. My complaint is that sometimes the receptionists try to discuss your health concerns in front of the whole waiting room. At the Tucker location the receptionist, Im not certain of her name but she is of Indian descent, but she is rude, and seems as though she doesnt like being there. Another time I bought my daughter, who f ell and injured her knee in volleyball. The daughter, Dr. Shah, gave her something for the swelling, 2 days later,I picked her up from her school in tears she was just in so much pain. Shes ok now, but I regret not taking her to a knee specialist who may have known what to do about pain and swelling. For me, the other Doctors have been fabulous, thorough, and great bedside manner. Overall, for fast, convenient, and knowledgeble medical care I would definantly recomend any location of the Gwinnett clinics. read more
