The parking lot is well lit, I don't feel I'll get jacked up if I go in the evening. So why only three stars? Well I've been using either treadmill or recumbent bike as part of my workout. The equipment has the built in TV and in theory the ability to utilize the gym's wireless network to stream the sound from the TV to headphones. I think I've written several emails to corporate and spoke to the manager at least once regarding the fact that the streaming app does not work for any of the local channels or news channels. I get various reasons why it's not working or is delayed, yadda yadda... bottom line it hasn't worked for more than several months.... Yes I could use a corseted set of headphones, but they is awkward on the treadmill. Yes I can live stream the channels I want on my phone and kind of watch that way, but the live stream on the phone does not match the tv on the equipment so that's a bust.... So this isn't rocket science..... let's get the IT guys to move faster or something.

Despite requesting to cancel my own membership, the company declined to proceed without his authorization. If you are considering doing business with them, I recommend reviewing their cancellation policies carefully and clarifying who has authority to cancel before enrolling.

Most of the time I had to use a cane or walker and a scooter when I was out in public. Shawn and I discussed my situation and set goals. I wanted to lose weight, build my strength and hopefully walk better. Shawn setup online training sessions, which included videos for me to follow along. The online training was simple to follow and he was available to answer my questions whenever I needed his help He gave nutritional advice as well as instructions on what I would need to complete my workouts. His training app helps me track my nutritional intake as well as my steps and workouts. I use my iWatch but a Fitbit would work too. Since I started 2 months ago, working out 3 times a week I am now able to walk 3,500 - 4,000 steps a day without any trouble. I no longer need any device to help me walk. I even rode my bike a mile! I haven't been able to do that in over 3 years. I have more energy, wake up early and I've lost 37lbs! I highly recommend Shawn as your trainer. My son and daughter-in-law have used him as well with great success. They both do 5k runs, hikes, ski and are in great shape. I can't do all that but hey at 60 I'm doing more than I ever expected I would.

I really enjoy it, unfortunately, it is very difficult to get the classes I want because 1) the type of class (Zen) is limited or 2) the instructor is too popular - looking at you Jose :) That being said, it's my only gripe. The instructors are all great. The other members are very supportive, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. I quickly got over my anxiety of trying new classes. I have seen rapid results with minium effort - you literally get to be on your back for so much of it. The stretching and strengthening helps build stamina. I like that the instructors offer several different ways to do reps so you can decide what works for you as you build up endurance or if in case you need to accommodate an injury. This has been my favorite type of group exercise by far.

At that time my blood panel lab work showed an elevated ALT (liver enzyme reading) of 69, above the normal range of 56. A number that high tends to indicate the liver is being affected typically by high alcohol consumption or fatty liver aka excess visceral fat encasing the liver and I don't have a drinking problem. After following healthier eating habits and working out five days consistently at HCF, my new lab work taken the last week of April 2022 shows my ALT at 16. That is a decrease of 53 points. So while I've lost 31 pounds on the outside so far, this measurement tells me I am without question becoming healthier on the inside too.

Somehow in 2022, the algorithm on Facebook thought that ILKB should appear in my feed. I needed an outlet and I was still new to Vegas and I came in to the Flamingo location check it out. I had no idea what I was getting into. I was just a little bit stunned with myself. If it wasn't for Mark's salesmanship, it would have ended there. I started coming to the Flamingo location for probably four months. Unfortunately, I had to take several months off due to an auto accident. I had to go to all of these appointments and could not come into the gym. I had to keep putting a hold on my membership. After months of asking the doctors for advice on getting back into kickboxing and not getting any, the physical therapy abruptly stopped. I had no answers on how to pick up the pieces and put my life back together again. The only advice: be careful with kickboxing and try going once a week. That was it. Nobody cared. I started coming back once a week at the Flamingo location. I talked to them about my problem with my injury and I still struggled a bit. Then I moved and started going to the Ann road location. I had a hard time addressing what problems I had (I can't say why because I don't want to start drama.). My neck was still popping and my back is still giving me problems. I felt really lost and that I was broken. I spoke to Teresa (who I met through the Flamingo location) about my problem and she referred me to Brenda for help. Teresa's referral was the best thing that happened since the accident. I got personal training with Brenda twice and worked on my upper strength. My neck nearly quit popping and I made an improvement with high planks, elbow planks, push ups , upper cuts, roundhouse, and side kicks ( still working on that). I am overwhelmed with emotions because I have received so much support from both John and Brenda over here at Ann Rd. I have been through so much and the help I have received from here means a ton to me. I don't really think that anyone realizes what a impact they have made in my life. Brenda and John have been very amazing, kind, patient, and helpful. I really wished that I was talking to them while I was going through physical therapy to be honest. I have met some really great friends here. I think my life would have went downhill again if I never had seen ILKB on Facebook. I would never had met any one here in Vegas.

I went to maybe 5 classes when suddenly I needed an emergency surgery and could no longer punch for 6-12 months. Every punch was slowly damaging me, and I didn't know it til I blacked out and cracked my face open. They will screw you over! Highly recommend finding a company that keeps their word and honors their contracts. Horrible communication. Horrible management. AVOID ILK!!!
