Great gym for my young children. They love it and the instructors are very kind. I would recommend

As a youth athletic organization, it is the gyms responsibility and expectation to provide an environment that supports and protects their athletes. Prior to the abrupt decision to fire an amazing coach mid- season, 2 weeks before state, my son would come home saying the owners are so mean to the boys. Boys would get in trouble for eating and wearing shoes in the gym while the girls would not get in trouble. The girls would steal mats without asking and run across the vault runway while they were training, to name a few. But, somehow the boys were always at fault. The coaches produced the best boys team in the state over the last couple years and they were never recognized. My son says the trophies and banners they won were put in a corner to collect dust And not showcased. Following the dismissal of the boys head coach and the loss of the other who didn't agree, the high level athletes were not given a safe transition to train there nor did they participate in finding a safe alternative elsewhere. This has forced some to quit and others scrambling to find a place to train til the end of season at the least. The owners did not want to discuss what had happened nor did they apologize for the emotional harm they have caused to my child and our family nor the 20+ others that trusted the gym to advocate for the kids. i have never interacted with the owners for our short time there. I was rarely spectating either. However when i went to pick up my son's belongings, I was being harassed for trespassing and that they were going to call the cops. All I wanted was what belonged to my son, but they threw what was in my Sons locker and all the others boys belongings in a box. It's pretty difficult to distinguish who's was what. Frustrated I left with nothing, worried I'd be accused of stealing Or worse. I would avoid this gym at all cost. It is a dangerous place for a high risk sport Without the appropriate skilled coaching required, no exceptions. There are so many other options in the area!!! Safety and Professionalism comes 1st, our kids deserve it! read more

Inconsistent coaches, basically high school kids that don't really teach anything - for the price it's a waste of time (unless you get Alex). My granddaughter's class all turned over so she was put with little kids, When we decided to leave they wouldn't give a refund. You also have to pay for days that they decide to be closed on. It's also very dirty. read more

Can I give 0 stars? I literally just pulled my child out of there after the coach spent the last 8 months refusing to coach my kid, bullying, harassment from other kids, 0 discipline, and the poorest excuse for a gymnastics team my kid has ever been apart of. She was a strong, competent gymnast who loved the sport until gu came in and destroyed her confidence and broke her down. When I tried to talk to one of the owners, he blamed my 9 year old, even when I told him about the bullying by the coach, lack of professionalism and how it's affected my athlete. He then proceeded to tell my 9 year old kid how I'm a bad parent. Loookinh for gymnastics? Go anywhere else. You want to have a kid make progress? Go literally anywhere else. read more

My daughter has been taking classes here for about 6 months and she loves it. She is 4 so she goes to the preschool room. Her coach is Ms Connie and she is wonderful! As a former swim instructor I appreciate Connie's commitment to safety and to really learning. This is not a class where kids just get supervised play she teaches them the basics and prepares them for the "big gym." The preschool room is loaded with all types of equipment and the entire class time is utilized on it. The structure of the classes are that every other week the kids go to the big gym for about half of the class. One week they do the long running trampoline and the next they do Peter Pan flying (which the kids LOVE) and play in a foam block pit. The big gym is loaded with more equipment than I have seen in any other facility I have been to. There are observation areas on both floors and the coaches that I have seen are great. My little one did the Winter Showcase and we had her birthday party there and all the older kids were great with her. This gym seems to have a great history and I hope that my little one stays here for a very long time. read more

This wasn't the place for us. I signed my daughter up for a class that was on Tuesday evenings. Out of desperation because classes at other facilities had been full for months, I paid $200+ for a class. We never received a confirmation or any information on what she would need. On the first day of class, we walked in to mass chaos. The man behind the desk was boasting about picking on small kids, followed by the info that he was the owner, but he didn't know what was happening. He proceeded to yell at some boys behind us before passing us on to a woman who finally handed us a slip of paper before ushering us upstairs. Once upstairs, we found a bench and a few chairs looking into the "preschool" classroom. Eventually two teenagers showed up and reluctantly gathered the kids and shut the door. The parents were left with a small window to attempt to look through. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the class. Eventually an older boy showed up and attempted boss kids around. It all appeared so unorganized and the facility was very dirty. The small classroom where by daughter was had small pebbles and dirt covering the equipment. The carpet on the stairs was filthy and the main gym appeared to not have been updated in a very long time. After this experience, we decided to eat the money we paid and call it good on attending this facility. If you are considering enrolling your child here, I STRONGLY recommend a trial to observe what this facility is actually like before putting out a dime. read more

Such an amazing facility! We have been going to GU for the last 5 years. We have two kids enrolled that absolutely love the staff, coaches, and the teams they are a part of! We have tried other gymnastics facilities and it just wasn't a good fit. Very thankful to call GU our forever gymnastics home for our girls. read more

i am on the men's team and we work hard, but still have fun. if you want to join a competitive men's team, i highly recommend this team.

I have had my daughter's 4th birthday party booked at this facility for over a month and it is scheduled to take place in less than 2 weeks. This morning, I got a call that there was a miscommunication and they are out of town that weekend so they can't host the party. I have less than 2 weeks to find a new facility and notify everyone that had RSVP'd that we are changing the plans. Oh - But they SO GENEROUSLY told me they would refund my deposit. Gee. Thanks. I was looking at this organization for my daughter to attend for gymnastics classes but that will never happen now. read more

My daughter has been wanting to try gymnastics. So I signed her up for a free trial class. My friend warned me about the gymnastic classes. But I thought that would give it a try anyways. Well I should have listened to my friend. Remember this was my daughter first time trying out gymnastics. The couch yelled at her twice and didn't spend hardly any time with her. Vanessa is afraid to try another gymnastics place. You lost a customer for good. Perhaps you should train your couches w/better attitude and respect. I have two girls enrolled here. Both have very much enjoyed their training and both look forward to their class every week. Best to just drop your children off and pick them up after their class as accommodation for parents is somewhat limited. read more

My 2 boys have been taking classes twice a week for a little over a year now. The male instructors have been great--supportive, encouraging and fun (yet strict when they need to be). My boys absolutely love it and never argue with me about when it's time to go to class. I have had nothing but good experiences here and highly recommend this gym, especially for boys with lots of extra energy to burn off. I'm hoping my kids stay interested in gymnastics and will keep going for many more years--maybe even help them get a scholarship for college! read more

Great Gym! The Xcel program is amazing! Was apart of it for four years and the coaches are super good and supportive!

My daughter has been coming here for 4 months now. (Before that she was at Flatirons gym for 2 1/2 years). Coach Kelani is excellent! She has just the right balance of discipline, inspiration, and challenging instruction. My daughter is excited to go to class now and has really excelled leaps and bounds just in a few short months! She went from barely doing a round off to doing multiple back handsprings. Her dance skills and rhythm have greatly improved and also her attitude has completely changed about gymnastics--she's thrilled to go and feels so accomplished and proud of herself and her progress. Good coaches understand how to communicate with each of their students in an effective way to inspire them to be their best. I firmly believe that you have to find the coach that fits best with your daughters' learning style and that there may not always a "dream gym"! I think coach Kelani is pretty awesome and I can't wait to see what's in store for my daughter this year! read more
