I was greeted with cheerful smiles and friendliness each time. The first time I just went simple with a plain bagel, and they toasted it just enough where it wasn't over-toasted or under-toasted so that the butter wasn't soaking through the bagel. The second time around, I expanded and ordered a basic sandwich; it was a great portion and had lots of freshness from the taste of the ingredients. My partner had an English breakfast, and it was a generous portion as well. The little bites I was offered, that tasted great as well. It's a small little neighbourhood cafe, but I love the vibes and the people. When I come back to London, I will definitely be stopping by again.

The food, coffee and relaxed, un-buzzy vibe could stand on its own, but this place is also a non-profit, where funds go to support the local Saint Luke's community center. From their website: All profits from Central Street Café go towards covering costs for over 10,500 delicious, healthy and high-quality meals that feed hundreds of elderly Islingtonians in need each year...
