Had been here a couple of years ago and found it to be a quirky, offbeat, in not expensive burger bar. The burgers were over $20 by the time you added your 'extras', although those 'extras' are what one would expect with a gourmet burger.
Anyway, my husband and I went again tonight and were very underwhelmed!
The limited menu was reduced even more so - to a piece of paper with minuscule writing that was impossible to read in the dim light! Being somewhat dismayed with the mere choice of only 3 burgers, wagyu, beef & vegetarian (no chicken) or any other choice, knowing that the starting price is $13-$15 before you add anything like onion, avocado etc and they don't come with fries or salad. You add bacon, avocado and onion and that adds $10. We opted for a starter and drinks so that we could decide to stay for a burger or go across the road to the Thai restaurant. Choice of starters was fries $8.50 or we share fried chicken with popcorn $17. Being promised this was a large serve and very tasty we thought we'd try the chicken. OMG it was the worst thing we've ever had. A handful of over cooked dry square pieces of chicken smothered in a salty dry crust mixed in with a large handful of popcorn. The 50c worth of popcorn tasted way better but it was certainly not worth $17. We complained but was told the owner/manager wasn't there so we paid and left, never to go back again. read more
