it is a family run guest house, and the manger and his family were very helpful and kind. I found the accommodation always clean and tidy. the location of the guest house was quite but close to the town center, and transport links to all the region. trains, trams and buses. my room was comfortable and clean and tidy with cupboard, table and chair, washing basin with fresh towels. the breakfast was cold meats and cheese or jams with your warm rolls and fresh coffee or tea. Gastehaus Sparenberg was a fantastic deal. It is not luxurious (communal bathrooms on each floor), but it is small, clean, quiet and friendly. The owners were extremely helpful (offering a drive to the train if it rains), and the breakfast was excellent, with eggs and cereal as well as bread and fruit.
