Simple and delicious. The mrs and I stopped by the unassuming stand in the middle of the burbs north of downtown Stockholm and were both happy with this hot dog. We got the Kabanos with comes wrapped in a baguette with some sauerkraut and other condiments on the inside. The taste is a nice mix of sour, meaty deliciousness with a crunch from the toasted baguette. The menu is pretty easy to read, and you can choose many different meats and I assume different condiments. The gentleman manning the stand seems to not speak much english but was friendly enough. There is a reason why this stand always seems to have a queue, cause a quick, cheap and delicious hot dog is all you really need really. Worth a trip up north!

Exactly what I was looking for! A hearty, delicious, cheap meal in Sweden. I ordered the Kabanos with everything and it was definitely worth the 70kr. The double sausage (I think they take one and cut it into two to fit into the baguette) had a great snap. The sauerkraut and sauces added great flavor (a little sour, a little spicy, a lot of flavor). I love the idea of hollowing out a baguette to fill it with meat and condiments. It held up really well and didn't get messy. There were a couple people ahead of us, but the line moved quickly. If I have a chance to come back I would also order the CooCoo (spelling?) - I think it's like chocolate milk.

This is a tiny, one-time man operated hot dog stand near Vasastan. It was about a 7-min walk from the nearest train station, but the stand itself was randomly located in a neighborhood street. Solely the sausage was probably the best I've ever had. We ordered the kabanoss (which seemed to be the go-to for everyone) and the paprika. When I bit into the casing, the sausage was so juicy and the flavors were amazing. Top that with kraut, ketchup, mustard and some special house sauce - it was absolutely perfect. I'm not a huge fan of kraut usually but I'd say it's very different from any other one I've tried. Get everything!

Probably the best sausages in the world. Only problem is that they are closed evenings and Sundays. Always a 15 minute wait for lunches, but trust me, it's worth it. Make sure you get all the sauces and sauerkraut in your bun. Also goes well with a Pucko chocolate drink.

    Solid Sausages. Kabanoss. 4/5 stars.

A solid sausage factory for the street food and sausage enthusiast! This place is not the cleanest nor does it have the fastest service, but it has a wide selection of sausages from around the world.

I waited in line for 20 minutes for this sausage. So worth it. I hate to objectify food, but this was one fine piece of meat. Gunter runs a dope booth a quick walk from maintown Stockholm, slinging 25 different types of ground, blended, meat tube perfection. The Stockholm youth were lined down the street to grab this cheap delicacy. I got Gunter's hometown favorite, the Kabanoss, and I made it double to ensure I got the full experience. It's a dense, flavorful, spicy, herbal blend of fine Eastern European meats. The consistency and mouthfeel is ideal: no bite obstructions by fats or byproducts in this sausage. On the contrary, the skin beautifully snaps under just the right amount of jaw pressure, releasing a joyous cacophony reminiscent of Budapest's outdoor spice bazaars. The sausages are embraced by the perfect depth of crispy baguette, garlicky and herbal aromatic spice blend, along with some sauerkraut to add to the digestive quality of this exotic and heartwarming street food. If only I lived closer.

My husband had been searching for a unique but quality hotdog since we landed in Scandinavia. On…read moreour very last day, we stumbled upon Bruno's Korvbar. We got the Kabanoss, which is garlicky, peppery, and full of flavor. It's made with beef and pork and served in a fresh baguette, as all all their hot dogs- a big upgrade from the usual bun. We had it the traditional way: with a cold chocolate milk. Surprisingly, it works! Salty sausage and sweet milk? Don't knock it till you try it. Quick service, friendly staff, and a great stop for a simple, delicious meal. So glad we found this spot before we left Stockholm!

The best hot dogs are not actually found in America (for shame! ... and I can say this as someone…read morewho has lived in America for 25 years). Instead, they are found here in this specific hot dog stand. There are about 30 types of sausages to choose from. I got the Kabanoss and the Stockholmer - both very delicious, especially the Kabanoss. The menu is pretty extensive and detailed, so I would recommend familiarizing with it ahead of time to avoid FOMO in the event that you see a hot dog you might like better after placing your order or eating it already... as was the case when I saw the "Cheese Sausage" with peppers and Emmentaler while having food coma from the current hot dog. The baguette is toasted on the grill so it's nice and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. They also add a bit of sauerkraut and mustard. When I ordered the "Baguette Double" I didn't realize they doubled the number for thinner sausages, so I ended up with four! Friendly and helpful service, with a nice little enclosed seating area in the back which I enjoyed for a couple of minutes before having to escape. I love how family-friendly it is here, but when 4-5 toddlers from 3 families shriek so loudly that their voices break the sound barrier, that's when you know you gotta escape. P.S. Check out the pics I added -- for some reason, they are not linking to this review.
