It was pretty lit here cause the outside area has really bright lights, they serve alcohol, and they had a DJ onsite. I had the original burger with fries. Sizeable patty size. I really liked the texture of the patty here since it didn't look like ground beef. Had the house dipping sauce, which initially tasted like ranch and then more like an aioli. One of, if not, the best burger in Stockholm. The original burger here just rocks and they key would be the ox chili they put on it. That just lifts the burger to new levels. If you for some unknown reason, I know it sounds very strange but I guess it could theoretically happen, do not feel like a burger then the choice should be clear. Go for the ox it is almost as good as the burger. I would skip the fries and instead opt for their bean salad but all the sides I have tried are actually pretty good (have not tried the potato salad). The only thing they should improve here is the concept, it gets rather chaotic when there are a lot of people so I would really like the chance to sit down, order and eat. Tasty burgers for an affordable price I heard through the grapevine that Vigårda is one the best burger places in Stockholm so I decided to head over there and judge for myself. I took a cheddar/bacon burger with fries and we got a FREE side salad ( yaay free sides) and a BBQ/lingon dressing for the fries. I enjoyed the entire meal, it was very tasty. The meat is always medium grilled and it's how I like it so no problem for me. The fries were super crispy , also just the way I like them. The side salad was a pleasant mix of lettuce, radish, bright yellow carrot slices and some nuts and kernels.. Nice! I have had better burgers before in my life so I can't say that it's one of the best.. Very tasty burgers. I like to try the monthly specials but most things I've tried have been good. Expect the salads - a bit weird in my opinion, like a stew mixed with a salad. They have pretty cheap, fun cocktails and beer. This location is great in the summer, it has a large outdoors patio and plenty of seating. First of all, good and price worthy burgers no doubt. The place was totally packed on a Friday evening and a lot of people weren't even eating. They were enjoying the cheap drinks. I don't dislike the concept of a nice place that serves alcohol to decent prices and has a nice and bustling atmosphere on a Friday evening. However, it was hard to find seats because it was so crowded. How many people were actually there for the food I thought to myself. I have been to this place several times but they had added a fantastic began burger since my last visit. And it was delicious! Having burgers is one of the few times I regret not eating meat, because usually the vegetarian burgers are either boring, non-tasty or even non-existent. Even Vigårda falls short on this since their vegetarian burger is not a burger but cut veggies and cheese put between bread buns that's just impossible to eat. But this vegan burger surprised me. Don't miss this place if you're in Stockholm! We visited Vigarda on our last day in Stockholm with a friend who lives in the city, what a great spot! A nice variety of food amongst the typical Scandinavian fare. The focus on this spot is all about the natural ingredients. If you want to eat burgers for the same price as a Big Mac meal at McDonalds but 100 times better, then you really have to visit Vigårda. This place has a great menu with a variety meat options plus the buns are fluffy and fresh and the chunky chips are super yum! You'll even get a cute side salad of your choice all for around 80kr. They also offer wine and beer that's around 40kr a glass which is extremely cheap for Stockholm! I love to organise a group of friends to meet up here to start the night off as it's open to 11pm on Saturdays. Everyone can order at the counter so there is no swishing or bill splitting at the end of the night. It's never so busy that you can't get a table but choose your timing wisely as it's popular around lunch on weekdays. I believe you are outside the sphere of what one calls a burger if you don't prepare the meat (or fish or vegetarian alternative) in the form of a patty. The chopped meats that are placed within two slices of bread at this restaurant do not constitute a burger. In all fairness though, their so called burgers aren't bad. The different meats offered (pork, ox and traditional beef) taste good although the bread is a bit on the dry and bland side. Big plus for the exceptionally fried french fries and the affordable beer. The place is usually packed, and with only one restroom on the second floor you are forced to go to the next door mall in order to find a restroom. In conclusion, this place is way too overrated with regards to the massive hype around it in Stockholm. If you go there with too big expectations, you'll end up disappointed. tl;dr: Just go to McDonalds. Ordered a normal burger WITHOUT CHEESE ! Of course it came with cheese... Not a very comfortable place to sit. Seems like in a quest to make the place hip they forgot customers need to be able to sit comfortable as well. I'd rather sit at McDonalds. The food was alright. But again they seem to fall for this trend of trying to be "Unique" and "Hipster" and have "A story". Which I'm sure a lot of Swedish hipsters going through their mid-life crisis trying to look for some meaning to their boring trite lives would love. The truth is that radishes on a burger are no replacement for onions. The truth is that putting tomato puree in a ketchup bottle does not make it ketchup. (it makes it disgusting) And let's be honest, putting your fries in a cup does not make up for any of this. In fact, it makes the food look confusing. You're a fast food joint. Very different from any other place too - the buns are whole wheat and grainy, the burgers are topped with pickled onions and some barbecue (I think?), and they come with a small salad and a variety of other side orders - at a price only slightly higher than McD. So it's probably the best burger in the world for the price. And definitely the healthiest. Note: They tend to serve them a bit medium done, so ask for well done if you (like me) want them well done (eating raw minced meat is just really bad for your health). read more

They have an English menu, and a veggie burger (very accommodative people). All the burgers come with a (horseradish) coleslaw and fries (thick cut, but crispy and well done). Burgers come with fries and you can add a sauce for a couple of kroner extra. I really liked the curry sauce and I have tried two burgers, the original and the bacon - both were great. My wife had a salad and she said it was decent, but not great and the chicken was not prepared well. There was a tendon, and it was more shredded than anything else. Point is - get a burger! I had already decided that I loved the place before I even got my food. The whole setup is awesome it's like a fast food restaurant that's been upgraded to premium, the prices are great and you still feel like you're eating proper restaurant food but for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is chill and the interior is trendy. When I got my food, which was not a long wait, I decided I loved the place even more just by the look of the hamburger (I got the cheddar/bacon burger) and then when I actually tried it I made a mental note to bring all my friends here. The food is great, the water is free and the service is outstanding. If you're looking for a nice, inexpensive place to get a delicious hamburger and McDonald's just isn't cutting it anymore I definitely recommend that you come here! I am not sure what the fuss is with Vigårda. It is indeed neither exceptional nor cheap by any standard. The hamburger composition closest reminds me of Burger King's. Here was my take on the food scene in Stockholm, there is no such thing as Swedish cuisine, only meatballs and that salted fish. Other than that, most of the food you would find in Sweden is similar to all western food. Surprisingly though, Sweden has a thriving burger scene and this was the only burger place I tried, but boy was it good! With your order, you get a choice of dipping sauce, which is nice. And the best thing was the price!
