However if this happened to me at a Marriott or Hilton - corporate will hear it from me big time. Nada works specific shifts and we were glad to have met her during our check in. We appreciate her consistent follow through and helping us throughout the process of our stay. For larger families, rooms can feel tight. Paris is limited in offering large hotel rooms for big groups. However, we made due with Novotel and it worked out. The main highlight was the breakfast buffet. Holy smokes - this is probably one of the best offerings in almost any hotel we've ever stayed at. While observing, there were a large # of staff working the breakfast periods - from the kitchen, to waiting, and on top of the host, who was also multi-tasking. This is a very organized crew - which is leading me to commend management for having this remarkable set up and excellent staffing! I did not even get to the food, as yet. The buffet was a full-scale and thorough line up - and even a station for gluten-free options. Wow! The bread station was the most popular, and the varieties seemed endless. After breakfast, the adjacent cafe next door was very convenient for all other basic foods. Vaugirard is one of the safest locations in Paris - THAT is recorded in the reported statistics and overall feedback on the internet. However, it is always recommended to stay alert no matter where you go. Awareness is key. I already reported to management of our near encounter with some bad people right outside the hotel (approx 8pm).

It was next to the rooftop lounge but we were never disturbed by noise from the lounge. The room had USB ports which was not always the case in Europe. Overall we were happy with the room. Nice quaint lobby with a small sitting area and a restaurant in the back. There's a roof top lounge with a nice view of the Eiffel Tower. On the street level, the hotel is connected to a small cafe that serves Italian food and with a full bar. We were very disappointed with the service at the front desk. It lacked grace and finesse. In the room, my gf pulled out one tissue and the box was empty. We asked the front desk lady for more and she responded with "you already used all of the tissues"? We asked for more water and she responded with "you get 2 feee waters then you have to go down the street to buy more." Wow so the hotel couldn't sell us water even though it had a restaurant? I asked for a bag to send out for laundry since the room didn't have one, it never came even after the 2nd request . Oh well I guess it can't be all rainbows and unicorns when you're traveling. After that, we were loaded up on carbs and caffeine and ready to venture out. We loved the location of the hotel. Several Metro and bus stops close. Restaurants and cafes all over the place. A laundromat a 1-minute walk away (which was good because I only let everyone bring one backpack). It wasn't near any tourist hotspots, so it was quiet and the neighborhood had a nice, laid-back vibe. They have a concierge on-duty 24 hours a day, so there's always someone to welcome you back and offer any assistance you may need. The staff was exceedingly helpful and polite. In the afternoon you can help yourself to coffee, tea, and some packaged biscuits (that my children helped themselves to many times). There's a nice sitting room where you can sit and talk. Or be on your phones if you're pre-teen and angsty about spending so much time with your family. Overall, great place. I'll stay there again when we return to Paris.

Our room was a bit small but that's to be expected in large cities of course. It was perfectly manageable for two of us though and they even remembered to separate our beds into two twins. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There is a kettle in the room and tea and coffee, as well as a small fridge. I especially loved the refillable glass water bottle in the room and might suggest they offer two when there are multiple guests. I trekked up and down the steps for refills but didn't mind truly, as I needed to burn some bread and pastry calories! The front desk staff went above and beyond to speak every time we entered or exited and helped us with quick questions we had about the area and even scheduled a taxi to the airport for us for our final day. We didn't partake in the breakfast buffet due to the cost ( a bit high in my opinion) and of course wanting to try various patisseries around town. I did take a look though and it was plentiful, fresh, and well tended. Happy hour treats were offered each afternoon-coffee, tea, and croissants. Without a doubt I will stay here on my next trip! I plan to reach out regarding a buying trip I'm putting together for a few folks. I think this spot would make everyone happy! The sink is right but the bed, and the shower is next to the sink, with only a slightly frosted glass, and then the toilet is next to the shower, separated by a sliding door with a giant hole for the handle, that doesn't lock. Not a big deal for a solo traveller or a couple, but something to keep in mind if traveling with someone you're less comfortable seeing naked lol. My only major complaint was that the AC was busted and no matter what temp we set it to, it was FREEZING. And when I say freezing I mean freezing... like painfully cold. We ended up just turning the fan to the lowest speed and turning it off at night. This helped, but I wish we had better control of the temp. Having been to Paris twice, the hotels which I used to stay were cramped and came with old school furnishing. Shops, restaurants and bars are found around the hotel and which Galeries Lafayette is just 1.8km away. Hotel Mimosa is in the heart of Paris, a good walkable 600 metres from Place de La Republique and 200 metres from Grands Boulevards. The hotel offers a modern furnished guest rooms and most importantly a free Wi-Fi internet access. They also have flat screen TV, electric kettle and wardrobe. Private bathroom comes with a shower, hairdryer and toiletries were provided. We were very happy as it was very spacious. Theme color is black and modernly equipped with shower-heads and anti slip flooring. Breakfast is optional and can be purchased upon check-in. The breakfast area is an open space, modernly designed with faux rocks walls, just beside the check in counter. Our stay was pleasant with friendly services. Like most of the hotel in Europe, there isn't an elevator provided for small scale hotel thus carrying up big luggage along the steep stairways maybe a challenge for some. Overall, though it might be little outside of the tourist area, it is still walkable distance within the Metro and Hard Rock Cafe Paris. Throughout the nights stay, area was quite safe and was not rowdy.
