When I left Paris, this place had started to feel like home. I stayed here a total of 5 nights during my trip, and it was definitely a comfortable place to be.
My friends were staying here before I arrived, and originally they were booked when I tried to get a room at the last minute - but my uncle finagled me a room, thank God. The rooms are small and the hotel is pretty old (this is Paris, after all), but still comfortable all-around. My first night, the A/C wouldn't turn off, so I was FREEZING, but the next day they replaced the remote battery and it was good to go.
The showers have no curtains, just a small piece of glass that covers about 1/4 of it, so I constantly spilled water on the floor, which drove me nuts, but the bathroom setups are a little different in France, so there's not much to be done about it.
The staff here was great - really helpful and nice to us. They kept our bags for us over the weekend, too, when we went to Nice and then returned to Paris for one more night. They all spoke excellent English, as well.
They offered breakfast, but we never tried. I think it was like $11 Euros, in that vicinity. The hotel rates are pretty reasonable for Paris, and even cheaper the longer you stay. Also, it's a terrific location, right on Rue de Rivoli where everything happens, and close to several Metro stops.
I would definitely come back here, were I in Paris again. :) read more
