We were greeted warmly and began the check in process in the main lounge area. Since our rooms weren't ready at the time we were checking in, we decided to go out grab lunch and return right after check-in. It is a very quaint and charming place with a small elevator, but large enough to fit a few adults. We went up to our room and it was absolutely lovely! We had a room facing the main street with double french doors to welcome some fresh air and look out at all of the foot traffic passing underneath. The bathroom is generously sized for Paris and was absolutely adorable with L'Occitane products provided. There were sparkles in the bathroom tiles to give you a hint of fabulousness as you shower. There was also a table and two chairs along with a large TV and an extremely comfortable bed flight by two bookcase shelves on each side. I loved that they also provide bottled water and a few complimentary drinks in the fridge. We spent every evening in the lounge area chatting amongst ourselves and made acquaintances with a lovely Brit couple that happened to be on their 10th visit to Hotel Monge. They provide free tea and coffee all day along with snacks and a generous honor bar, which I absolutely loved. As well as a hammam in the basement. Definitely clears your pores and skin and makes you feel so refreshed! Without question, I have found my Parisian home each time I return.

We went to several other places to no avail. As we were leaving another hotel we were feeling frustrated and sad, but looked and saw the Hotel Monge close by to our location. From the moment we walked in Hotel Monge, it was warm and inviting. The crisp, clean product was amazing and the staff we would encounter was even better. Camille was fantastic! She was thoughtful, genuine, reassuring and made us feel welcome. N.G. also extended superior customer service, actually, everyone we encountered was magnificent. Our background for most of our careers was in management in major hotels so we recognize well run properties with top notch staff and that's what the Hotel Monge is. Ending up at this fine boutique hotel by accident truly was serendipitous. Highly recommend!!

For myself, my husband and teenaged daughter, I chose the 'Hotel Millesime.' I loved the idea that it was once part of the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and I really wanted a small, boutique hotel. I could not have made a better choice! This hotel is a little gem!! We were given the top floor room, which is a small suite (so my daughter could have her privacy). The suite was very well appointed, in a classically minimalist fashion, and all was in pristine condition. The bathroom looked brand new and every day we were provided with lovely small local soaps and hair-care products. The breakfast in the basement area was beyond delicious! There is just about anything that you could want and the location (the basement being the most original remaining part of the building) was very atmospheric and peaceful. Once we finished breakfast, and were ready to start our day, we just stepped out the door and were right in the middle of just about everything Paris has to offer! You can walk to many of Paris' top attractions and there's plenty of amazing cafes and bistros waiting for you, when you come back hungry at the end of the day. The hotel's front desk attendants were super helpful and provided both directions and recommendations to the various sights and restaurants. The neighborhood is also very safe and we frequently returned to the hotel quite late - having become enthralled with the local night-time cafe culture. If you have children, or are traveling alone, I highly recommend staying in this area. Despite being so close to the left bank nightlife, the Hotel Millesime is on a quiet street. The only thing that I heard regularly were the beautiful bells of Saint Germain-des-Prés! Overall, I cannot recommend this small hotel highly enough! It really made our stay in Paris perfect.

The most comfortable room we stayed in during our recent Euro trip. To be honest, it's probably the most comfortable room we've stayed at in all our trips to Europe. Everything was high quality. Starting with our check in - friendly, easy and they gave us a complementary tequila cocktail. From start to finish the service was friendly and attentive, they treated us very well! We stayed in room 202 - the green room - one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in. As I've said before, the bed and bathroom are the two most important things and Providence is top notch on both. The bed was absolutely incredible - big and super comfortable. The bathroom was massive, clean and luxurious. The shower was arguable the best I've ever experienced. It had a handle and a ceiling shower heading and the water pressure was perfect. Shampoo/conditioner were both quality as well. You must put your room key in the light switch to give the room power, FYI. Loved the little balcony with table and chairs, just big enough to enjoy a glass of wine or a meal. Nice view down the street as well! Apparently this is one of the few rooms that has a balcony for what it's worth. The room had a tv so we were able to watch some news in English and use AirPlay to play music. The lobby bar was nice as well, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Breakfast downstairs is perfect for starting off a day around town. Speaking If which the location of the hotel is ideal! Easy access to metro, the seine and most all of the most popular attractions. I don't know what the measurements were, but there was a queen bed and maybe one foot around the sides of the bed to walk around, a very small desk and wardrobe, and barely enough room for a desk chair. We couldn't even find a place for our suitcases. I've been to Paris several times, and I know hotel rooms there can be the size of rooms in Tokyo. But for the price I paid, the room was definitely not adequate, despite also having a small balcony. Room size aside, again, the location can't be beat! I'd definitely recommend paying for a larger room, though.

The hotel was close to the metro, which made traveling in Paris easy. When we arrived, there were flowers and champagne waiting for us in the room. We opened the door to the balcony and the view took our breaths away! The room was spacey and gorgeous; I felt like a princess in a fairytale during our entire stay. When we opened the window, it felt like the opening scene of Beauty and the Beast when Belle greets the town with "Bonjour!" Housekeeping cleaned the room everyday and it was so nice to come back to a clean room. The absolute only feedback I really have is that I wish there were more power outlets inside the room. Other than that, this is the perfect Parisian hotel, especially for a romantic vibe. :)

It is situated very close to the subway and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The service here is a superb and the daily breakfast is splendid with the hot chocolate being their speciality. The rooms are clean and compact and elegant enough that you that you truly are in Paris and not in a facsimile of Paris. Although the staff here speaks English we made sure to learn basic French in order to greet them and extend our thanks. If you are on a budget, make sure you fill up during breakfast so that you won't be hungry again until dinner time. Our stay here was truly memorable and enjoyable as I'm sure yours will be too.

I had the hotel send a private car to pick me up from Orly. The ride was about 40 minutes as we were stuck in traffic. The driver was a great guy and kept in communications with me until we met up. Arrived at La Tamise. It was beautiful. The building front along the side street...I had chosen well. Prince greeted me and gave me my room key. Room 10...it was fantastic! Clean. Gigantic. Big shower with handheld shower heads. Big comfy bed (sans bedbugs...never saw one, thank God). My room windows were typical Parisienne. So hard for me not to keep them both open. The room was better appointed than some 5-stars. They have top-end tea (Rooibos) in the room. It is delicious, (but maybe be careful to not over do it with this tea if you are an estrogen-sensitive breast cancer survivor...look it up), the best hot cocoa packs I ever had (sorry, I was steps from Angelina's and this cocoa was way better), all the bottled water (Evian) I could drink, and top end bathroom products, (although careful if you too have nut allergies as the lotion had a nut oil). I'm telling you... when I return, my friends here have to have a room for me! It's the best!! Saleh in the breakfast room was "my new best friend." So kind, and so attentive. The hotel can't afford to lose him. His impeccable service and customer interactions were amazing. Seriously.... give this man a pay raise! (Thank you, best friend.) The breakfast was perfect. Petite dejeuner at its best!! Try the chocolate muffins. Thank God I was walking 20,000 steps a day... work off those chocolate treats!! I was so sad when I left my hotel. It's far more affordable than other hotels I've stayed in Paris, and although it's small without a ton of amenities, I'd rather be paying for the location than anything else. My room (facing the street) was mostly quiet aside from some usual street noise (nothing major). It was also very reasonably sized and comfortable. The bathroom was especially nice, with a rain shower and good water pressure. The staff was kind, offering to hold my luggage and letting me know my room would be ready early in the day (which was great after my red-eye flight from the US). I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I had nothing to complain about!
