I think this is more of a general H&M company review rather than a Ridgehill H&M review ... So, is anyone else noticing how absolutely crazy it is having to wait online to pay for like 9 hours? The line is rarely even that long, but is every person deciding they want to sign up for a membership or something once they reach the register? Why is that allowed? Some of the less tech savvy people take a month of Sundays just to turn their smart phone on... and now they're supposed to create an online H&M account so they can get a 5% discount? Please! My favorite H&M location by far. I've been to the ones in Cross County and White Plains, and even a good 5 in Australia, but none have the selection and cleanliness that Ridge Hill's location does. There's no way you're walking out of this store without at least one purchase. And don't even get me started on the lovely staff that works here! They're so friendly and willing to help. I came in with an online return because the last 2 locations I'd been at didn't have a size 2 in sight. No frown or hesitation when taking in my return, and when I asked where I might be able to find something similar to exchange/purchase, the lovely lady explained to me exactly where to look on the 2nd floor. I had no issues finding the pair of jeans I'd been looking for, and in my size to boot! Hell, I even found some great pieces in the clearance section! If I wasn't so crunched for time because of my flight, I'd gladly spend a good hour or 2 accumulating several outfits in the spacious and well-kept fitting rooms and walking out of the building with bags filled to the brim! Also before I end this review, I absolutely must commend the beautiful sales associate that I made my final purchase with! She was so patient with me and even complimented my outfit, so I had to go back and tell her how wonderful she was! I asked for her name but of course I can't remember it now. She wore glasses, an orange hoodie with skinny jeans, and I think... her name started with an 'M'. Will absolutely be back! read more

I can't say I've ever had a bad experience. It's a hit or miss when it comes to finding a deal as it is at any other location. I see a lot of people writing about a lack of customer service and while I have dealt with some 'tudes from the cashiers, I've never had a bad experience with an employee on the floor. I actually recall an employee who took me all over the store to try and locate an item I saw online. They didn't have to go through the trouble but they did and I was thankful for it because most times, in stores like these where there can be a crowd of shoppers bombarding you, customer service can fall to the waist side. I actually like this location better than Cross County because there are usually a lot less people shopping here so you're not fighting people for a space in line. It just feelsush calmer. read more

Stopped by after eating as we usually do when we're in Ridge Hill. The customer service here is horrid. It was my 3rd and last bad experience at H&M. More like Horrible&Misleading! I asked if everything in the wall beneath the $3 sign was actually that price. I was told that the sign says "only on selected items." Where does it say that? Even if it's on the actual sign, they place it 12 feet high. I know I'm short, but even Yao Ming couldn't read that. (If it's actually in the sign.) Not one item in the out of season clothes was actually $3. Everything was $15, $20 and higher. This is a bad practice for any business. Horrible customer service. I had a faulty pair of earrings and the staff was unwilling to help. I understand if policy is policy, however the demeanor of the staff was completely rude. The associate began rolling her eyes from the beginning of our conversation. Yes, it is an entry level job but if you're going to be working with people, employers should look for an individual with basic education, and manners. read more

Really just a huge waste of space. Why is there an immaculate amount of empty room in this store with barely any inventory.? The cosmetics are a disastrous mess; products are either broken or open and strewn about the display which is neither appealing nor sanitary. There aren't a lot of clothes in comparison to other H&M stores and the lingerie section is pitiful. For such a large store there really ought to be more to offer. Customer service on a good day is average at most but that's if you're lucky. I wish there was more effort put into this particular store but it is what it is. It's ok if you want some basics but not if you're shopping to fill your wardrobe. read more

Don't mind the 3-Star rating. It's not a knock on this location, I just rarely shop here. However, the few times that I have, I found everything I was looking for which to me, easily give it a 4-5 star rating. Again, I don't shop here often, so it wouldn't be fair to say I'm a HUGE fan. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service! I visited H&M to return some items I ordered online and they refused to process my return. The clerk at the checkout counter said that the paperwork from the original order (with order number) and shipping confirmation (with itemized list) didn't suffice. He then instructed me to call H&M's 1-800 customer service line. I told H&M customer service the situation and the rep said that there shouldn't be an issue processing my return (I had all the information needed & she confirmed the order # on her end) and asked to speak with the store manager to fix this mess. The store manager (whose name sounded like "Dorea") REFUSED to speak to the customer service rep! The customer service rep was as bewildered as I was. Anyhoo, I gave up and left; it was not worth dealing with such rude, demeaning, and unprofessional people. I'm not quite sure why I was treated that way; i am a quiet & low-key person and didn't argue or raise my voice. If fact, I barely spoke b/c the manager didn't want to speak with me. Miserable people take their frustration out on others I guess. Crazy. Ironically enough, I went to another H&M and returned the items without issue. read more

I wasn't even planning on buying anything ... just accompanying my sister-in-law. But when you find TWO fun denim skirts for $7 each, cute gym shorts for $3 and a ton of shirts that are all less than $13, what's a girl to do?!?! And unlike a lot of H&M's that I've been to where the sheer number of clothes makes it difficult to keep the place neat and orderly, this store was pretty immaculate. Good job, guys! read more

i usually skip the ridge mall cause it's always crowded with sh#t heads and parking is a pain with its pay at the machine system but i am here to pick up a skirt (not for me )for a family friend and i do like the styles and prices for men's threads and accessories . store is spacious and clean with a simple easy to find setup for ladies , men's , kiddies . i was told to go right to the cashier area and give my name and my friends name and that's it . before i did all that i looked around and was not feeling the must have that moment until i locked eyes on a hoodie with a california print theme for 40 bucks and now i am having a must have it moment . i ran to the cashier which had only 3 customers in front of me and before i could send a text or waste time on my phone i was bagged and sent on my way .still prefer my white plains location but this ridge hill spot ain't bad at all read more

This review is based completely on poor customer service and poor store policy.Today I visited the H & M in Ridge Hill to make a return,I purchased a package on undergarments for my 6 year old and realized after I got home that I picked up the wrong size,so I figured I would just be able to exchange them for the correct size,the packaging had not even been opened.I proceeded to look for the correct size which they did not have.So I figured I would just return them at that point.The manager proceeded to tell me that I could not return the item because it was an undergarment.I explained the situation,she did not care and stood there with her straight face and said you can donate them to the store if you like,she offered me no options at all.This was my first and last time visiting this store.I was not familiar with their policy,if you go to any store today from Lord and Taylor's to Victoria's Secret they take everything back as long as the tags are on,unworn and with a receipt,what makes this establishment so special that they feel they don't have to accept undergarment or swimsuits back especially if they have been 100% unworn,they figure by doing this the company is at least guaranteed the money from this purchase and there will be no risk of lost profit by following this policy.They should have signs by the undergarments and swim wear explaining this,but they don't.Most people know the most common return policy's today,their return policy sucks,because now I am stuck with a package of underwear that my daughter can not use.They made no exceptions and the manager shrugged her shoulders and did not say a word.TERRIBLE!!!! read more
