Made an appointment a week in advance to sit down with a tax prep person to better understand and file my taxes. Confirmed the appointment over the phone with a live person. Showed up for my appointment 5 min early, only to be told that the tax person I was scheduled with was with another client and wouldn't be finished for another hour. I was asked if I could come back 3 hours later, if I wanted to make another appointment and if I just wanted to upload photos of my tax documents for them to be taken care of. None of those alternative options are acceptable. What is the point of making and confirming an appointment if that time slot is not going to be available to you?? I went to the Block office on Farmington the last 2 years. I met with Ed 2 years ago. Great guy- very affable. Really knows his stuff and got me a great refund. He wasn't available last year so I met Joan. Classy lady, she was very thorough and went over my return with me to make sure I understood why I was getting money back. Awful awful awful. My consultant offered nothing. I had to help her along the whole way. She was very disorganized and didn't understand why there were so many forms. She didn't understand health insurance forms and almost completely omitted entering a dividends form. The only thing she had to do was simple data entry and several times I had to point out she entered something incorrectly. I had to purchase the "peace of mind" package in case of an audit for $40 extra purely because I don't trust her work. All this for the cheap price of $279. Don't go here ever. read more
