If I could give a negative star, I would. I received a notice back in November of 2024 regarding a possible assessment from the DOR for our 2021 tax return. I made multiple attempts to contact a tax rep at HR block, with ZERO response. When I did finally get ahold of someone, probably 1.5 months later, I was told we needed to file an amended return, as there was a missing W2 on the original return and we had to pay almost $400 back to the DOR. Fast forward a bit, it is now April and I am still fighting this, they are denying my claim (their "peace of mind" option) stating I never gave the documentation to the original prep person, which is completely inaccurate. This company is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. Their customer service people are rude and I was hung up on once, one person sent me to some random banking center which I asked to speak to "client claims," then a third rep told me "client claims" has no direct line to call and everything had to be done via email. What kind of joke of a company does this? How can they sit here and charge me hundreds of dollars for "peace of mind" never stating EVERYTHING HAD TO be submitted online and then accuse me of lying and deny my claim. This company is an embarrassment and shouldn't be allowed to "help" people with their taxes. It seems like a scam and false advertising. I spoke with client claims department when someone FINALLY returned my phone call and they again, insisted I never provided the documents and continue to deny my claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY + ESPECIALLY DO NOT PAY FOR "PEACE OF MIND" because it is far from what they provide. read more

After waiting 4 weeks from my visit I called and asked about my status, employee right away assumed it was submitted and wondered what I called about but second guessed himself to find out it was never submitted. He had to call me back after looking into it. Got a call back the same day saying another employee failed to follow through with submitting it after my 1hr + long appointment back in March. Employee then stated it was put on them to complete, proceeded to ask me questions to verify information on my form before submitting it. Not happy with my experience. Tried calling the corporate number 1 (855) 897-8639 but they cant put me on with a live person unless I pay for the + package. So I had to email hrbmobiletaxes@hrblock.com to ask for a person to talk to. They sent the client retention number (855) 211-5334. Anyone else having issues with this company, call the client retention number, they were helpful and didn't waste my time. read more

There very highly incompetent people that don't know what they're doing. The only thing that they're interested in is making a buck and that is making a profit. The prices are overrated. They charge way too much since leaving them. I found myself getting it done better somewhere else and I get a lot more back on my taxes. I was with them for a long time and they don't even give you veteran discounts. Like I said, they're only interested in making a dollar not about people so my recommendation is you stay away from all H&R blocks horrible all they see is dollar signs! It took over 2 years to fix their mess up. Most are only key pusher. And I bought the place of mind.

My boyfriend dropped his taxes off at this location for this filing season. We typically use the one in Ashland with no issues but this one was more convenient. After being asked to come in to sign some papers, a blonde women with short hair working in the office on Tuesday July 21 at around 4 pm decided she would go around and ask who had the Brazilian customer because she couldn't pronounce his name. It's hard to understand why someone would think it was appropriate to identify someone by their race or ethnicity but for some odd reason she thought this was completely acceptable. We are both extremely upset and will not be returning to this branch. I will also be contacting corporate as this should not be tolerated. We are disgusted. read more

Literally can't even get them on the phone. It's supposedly a legit business with business hours all day, yet you can't reach them on the phone. All you get is prompts asking you to make an appointment. Unprofessional, aggravating, and ineffective. read more

Came here to check in for an appointment, and the receptionist, old woman, her name is Shelia was very unpleasant and has an attitude! I was a half hour early and just wanted to check in to see if maybe they could take me early. She gave an attitude saying I'd have to wait which obviously I knew that! But just her attitude was horrible, receptionist are suppose to be the face of a business and should greet you with a smile, instead I felt as if was intruding and felt unwelcome! read more

Had my taxes prepared last year and did not have an issue. This year, when I went for my appointment, they had double booked and called me while I was on the way asking if I could come later. I was almost there, so I said I couldn't. When I arrived they said that somehow the computer had double booked me and another person, so I would have to wait. I had made my appointment over two weeks ago and I heard the other person say she had called the night before to make an appointment. I would have had to wait for who knows how long because the tax preparer was still with a previous appointment. I had something scheduled after my appointment so I couldn't wait as long as they asked me to. So now, they expect me to find a time to come back. I won't be going back there. They are factory style tax preparers and want to have as many people in as they can and accommodate themselves rather than the customer. read more
