I had a 1hr appointment with Kathleen that started off great but quickly turned sour based on her lack of understanding on military life, local, state and federal laws as well of state taxes outside of New Jersey. At one point she even looked me in the eyes and stated my wife should be arrested for having an expired DL. With the tax portion, she didn't even take the time to look up the state tax code to see what I was talking about. That alone lack of customer service to actually listen to me would have cost me $1500ish. She did do me the favor of tearing up my envelope and saying she couldn't help me. You didn't try! read more

I was charged $380 to do my taxes. Back in February. The IRS accepted return on Feb 20th. I have received no payments. It is April 1st. I have emailed several times waited weeks no response. Called multiple times keep getting told will get call back. Never do. read more

have had my taxes done at H and R Block for several years with no problem; however, last year there was an error on my taxes ( to the tune of $10,000) at the fault of H and R Block. I purchased the Peace of Mind and was in contact with the district manager, Michael Yates...who even gave me his cell number to solve my problem. My issues were the following: 1. Mr. Yates knew in NOVEMBER that there was a mistake in my taxes but did not call me. I was notified in the following MARCH when I went to get my next year's taxes done. Unexcusable. 2. I applied for the Peace of Mind refund and received $5500 eight weeks later; however, Mr. Yates told me to submit the penalty and interest I had to pay from the State when it arrived. He explained that I had to pay it first, then submit for reimbursement. I made an appointment and submitted my paperwork to a woman that had no idea how to process it. She asked me to write social security numbers on a piece of paper and leave them with her. No way! I repeatedly called Mr. Yates, have left a dozen phone messages and NO ONE has called me back except some nice woman from Philadelphia, that wants to help me but does not know what to do to solve my problem. Bottom line....H and R Block still owes me $660+. I am hopeful that someone from their corporate office will read this and give Mr. Michael Yates and kick in his butt to solve my problem.
