Every time I've…read moremade this five-hour drive, I've crossed back into the US through the San Luis border crossing. As anyone who crosses the border consistently knows, you have to go through customs before stepping further into the US. I usually cross at San Ysidro, but early December saw me crossing this location for the first time. The first difference that I noticed was the electrified barbed wire atop the new border wall. Along the road to the official border crossing, an official border pillar can also be spotted, sitting less than 3 feet from the border wall. Three lines lead to the crossing. To the far right, immediately hugging the border wall, is the Ready Lane (for those with passports cards). In the center is the general line (passport booklets, people not US citizens, and RV drivers). And to the left is the Sentri lane. I found the agents here to be a bit more scrutinizing than the ones at San Ysidro. But that is exactly how they are supposed to be. Once the agents see that you're not a trouble-maker, they'll talk to you on the level. I've never had issues in this location, nor with any border crossing. It's probably because I don't commit any crimes, and I don't get involved with the wrong crowd. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about. If you do have something to hide, then don't complain when you get caught. It's common sense.

It's definitely a place that feels like it's growing and changing, and we noticed quite a bit of construction happening throughout the city during our drive. Even with all the roadwork, you can see the potential and the effort going into improving and developing the area. It was a quick drive-through for us this time, but I always enjoy seeing the different communities that make up Arizona, especially the smaller border towns with their own personality and charm. San Luis was a little snapshot of our road trip, and I'm curious to see how the city continues to grow and evolve!

By far the worst taxi service I've ever used. Well I guess I shouldn't say "used" because they…read morenever even showed up. Let me explain, I called the cab company to pick me up in Somerton at 730am, I had notified them well in advance at least 1.5 hours ahead of time. The receptionist said, "no problem". So I figured I was set to go. 730 rolls around and still no cab, so I called the company up, and I again I spoke with the same guy who had reassured me that the cab was on their way. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I waited. 15 minutes went by, so I called again to make sure they weren't lost. I gave them my address again, and he assured me that they would be arriving at any minute. After waiting around till 800am, I called them to find out what was going on, and the gentlemen who I had spoken with answered the phone, he must have recognized my voice and immediately hung up on me. Needless to say I went with another cab company. I was late to my appointment in Yuma, and well, I'd really like to have a one on one chat with the guy who decided it wasn't necessary to do his one and only job. Maybe my experience won't change anyone's mind, since the reality is that there only a handful of choices to pick from, but I would advise NOT choosing these guys as your go-to company. Very unprofessional! I would honestly rate them less then a 1-star if I could. Good luck everyone, I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Today…read moreMonday I had the worst experience on top of loosing my mail the condescending manager "Jose" tells it has already been picked up I read through his BS immediately so I said you "So fucked up? "He lost it dodging accountability even after I explained ti him nobody open the po box but me and that I was certain they lost it and he denied and So I call for the other gentleman manager 4 times he tried to be sanctimonious and I ignore him stressing that I already asked LIKE 5 times he tried to be a smart ass and say that I only asked 4 times which just shows the utter garbage in our government facilities after asking again for the 5 time as I made sure he heard The other gentleman basically said if its not there list is as lost and I did but It took nearly an hour due to poor managerial skills I refrained from saying my own set of snide comments even-though there was an exceptional amount of subject matter and Im glad at least one manager doesn't act like fool but that's still 50% too much so I beg for the USPS facility on San Luis to not be the worst because there definitely one of the worst.
