If you are not a quilter, then you might treat yourself to the beauty and practicality of the world of quilts. The entrance fee is currently $8.00 and it is good for both Friday and Saturday. There is a Country Store where you can buy handmade items at reasonable if not cheap prices -- including quilts, runners and placemats, book covers, cloth woven baskets, pin cushions, pattern books and magazines, and on and on. There is a coffee nook, and there are tables and chairs where anyone can sit and rest. The women who run the quilt show are friendly and helpful. They seem dedicated to the art of quilting and making it available to the public. This is a happy place. The display of quilts is visually nourishing. But be prepared to do a lot walking -- bring your cane or walker if you need it (the Quilt Show is attended mainly by older women). If you go on a Friday, you can enjoy the enthusiastic bustle. If you go on a Saturday morning when there are fewer visitors, you can have a contemplative moment in a cubicle of quilts all to yourself. I attended both days. This is an environment of excellent craftsmanship plus an overflowing of love that goes into each quilt.

Im on my fourth time taking the drivers test and i strongly disagree with what there giving me…read moremarks for. I said something about discrimination and was immediately told if I did that I could have my license suspended for a year. On my 2nd try before we started I asked the instructor if he could see my speedometer and he said yes its digital when indeed its not. this test was taken in a 2015 GMC Sierra 4x4 where the speedometer is on the right side on the dash board making it difficult to see from the passenger seat. Reason for bringing that up is they were marking me too fast or too slow. Among other things as well. And nothing I can do about it without recourse.

The line moved at a steady pace as the staff separated those with appointments and those who didn't (that was me). I waited like 15 minutes before I was let inside to pay the renewal fee. And that took all of 10 minutes! They also had a kiosk of sorts outside the exit signing people up to register to vote...I did that too. Two for the price of one! Consider taking care of business online, if waiting in line is not your thing. If it is your thing, going online and making an appointment before you arrive might be the best bet.

There are planned activities for all ages (even adults can join for monthly LEGO or coffee/painting events). Free WiFi, plenty of books, and lots of online resources (research, etc). The staff are helpful. Great new little addition to base!
