This tax season I received a postcard from Huff Tax Service indicating he was ill and would not be doing tax services this year, 2019, but when I called to check if that was true, his voicemail box was no longer full and it was a recording indicating his hours for tax preparation. This guy Ralf Reinberg filed my taxes without my consent! I somehow had too many questions he…read morecouldn't answer and went ahead and filed without my signatures maybe because I was asking for my money back. He had no idea that my taxes were prepared differently than the year before by his own company. He just seemed to not want to deal with it. I could not believe this guy would do this. He somehow used a pin number, and I'm not sure how he could do that. Maybe it was from the previous year? At first, I didn't feel comfortable that they wouldn't let me review the returns until I paid them, but when I finally reviewed them, there were errors and a huge tax bill I had ever seen. They didn't catch the proper deductions. When I discussed this with Ralf Reinberg, he just made that one correction. That's when I asked for an extension to have them reviewed by another accountant. I had no issues the first year, but in the second year, our taxes were completely prepared differently than the last year. When I called back he would disguise his voice and never returned my phone calls. I had to have my taxes amended as the second accountant said that they had placed my deductions on the wrong schedules and prepared them completely incorrectly - not even sure if they did that on purpose or if they really don't know what they're doing. Do NOT use this guy at all! He's an all-around bad person.

Two years later and I am STILL dealing with this audit and now my husbands wages are being garnished and Keith and his employees have refused to answer my phone calls, and emails. I had to hire another tax preparer to file an amended return and an appeal because they have refused to fix their error. Do yourself a favor and stick with smaller tax preparers as this company will readily take your money but WILL NOT HONOR THEIR AUDIT GUARANTEE! They will ignore your calls, emails and messages and treat you as if you are a spam caller.

She took my information and told me that I'd be hearing back from them shortly. I never received a reply. I would recommend asking to leave a direct message with someone in charge. Because of the lack of contact, my business stayed with its present tax representatives. If I can talk directly to Keith in the future, I will definitely give KD another shot and revisit the review as I hear great things about them. But first impressions are so important.
