I made an appointment here for 1pm, and let Tabitha…read moreknow on the phone I was 9 months pregnant, wanting to get my taxes sorted (I'm an easy case, only one job, one W2, no investments or deductions). I arrived 15 minutes early and signed in. Was never greeted. Saw that the only employee was held up with couple so I completely understood. Waited for 45 minutes without being told anything... I would've been fine with a "I'm sorry for the wait" or a "I didn't expect this to take so long..." anything. Worked in customer service most of my life so I don't mind a wait. It was then that the gentlemen of the couple the accountant was seeing came to me and asked me about my pregnancy. I told him I was due in 5 days. To which he told the accountant that even though him and his partner were experiencing issues with their return, they could wait or come back so she could help me, noticing I was sweating and struggling. The employee COMPLETELY IGNORED HIM. Now everything is awkward, but I appreciated a strangers kindness. However, I think the employee should have communicated ANYTHING. I would've been a first time customer and paid whatever. But after waiting an entire hour to even be looked at, i walked out. I drove down to the H&R Block that's 0.8 miles away. I understand being short staffed, but whoever owns this location needs to outsource...seems like a given during tax season. Luckily, the H&R Block right down the road got me right in and out, and I didn't even make an appointment. Very thankful to Ms. Ashley and the rest of the staff at H&R Block next to McAllisters.
