My name is Jesse W.. my wife and I gave Nona our taxes for two corporations and our personal back…read morein March of 2023. Since then I have been unable to reach anyone in the office by phone. I have emailed Nona several time asking for a estimated date of completion, she only responds that they are working on it and she has had personal problems of her dad passing, which I respect and gave plenty of time even though the IRS doesn't make exceptions. We are going on 5 months since we dropped them off, still no phone calls back and no idea when they will be complete. After waiting 4 months she offered to give our deposit back, which no account ever requested a deposit, and I could come pick them up. We just want her to do our taxes as she agreed to in a timely fashion. I would not recommend her at all. We sold our home and are now living with relatives with stuff in storage because we can not apply for a line with our taxes, she has been aware of this for months. Horrible communication and service.

Day of my appointment my gps wasn't navigating me properly and the secretary was kind enough to delay my appointment a half hour & provide me with the directions. With the delayed appointment start I still arrived 12 minutes early but wouldn't you know they took TWO walk ins in front of me. I waited an additional half hour and still hadn't been called back. I wasn't acknowledged during the wait at all not even "the preparer will be with you briefly"...I walked out. I will gladly find another location & recommend that you do too. *update: H&R Block tried to reach out and "make things right" and asked that I call back. I needed my 2016 return and logged into the JH portal only to find it missing!! I got the run around until they left me with ridiculous options! They said I had to drive to a location (an hour away) and pay for a copy! I told them that I paid $400-500 for a service that said they would store my taxes electronically! Then the rep Nancy told me to go to the office and they won't charge me. I asked for the supervisors name which is Victoria. I asked to file a complaint with the district management and she said I would have to go to the office to do that?? I'm like how is that convenient at all? Especially to a loyal customer? I do not recommend them. I switched from my old tax firm in CA because I wanted to try and have…read morelocal representatives. Not only was their service over $400 for our family vs. $150, but also we lost a significant amount of money because of their lack of itemization and knowledge of how to keep a clients' money with them. We had to pay total from state and federal over $3k. Previously with my old firm I would always get money back from state and federal, depending on what I donated that year sometimes more and sometimes less, but always a net positive. Needless to say, I am paying for my mistake and will be returning to my old firm even if I can't see them in person.
