Freeman and Barrett were not only late with my taxes, but they have continued to withdraw money…read morefrom my business account MONTHS after we stopped using this service. My husband and I dropped off our taxes weeks in advance and gave all relevant paperwork, yet, they still had to file an extension. (Though our taxes are not complicated.) Not only that, but they input our bank information incorrectly and we had to wait almost twice as long for our refund. If there's one thing that an accountant should get right, it is "numbers". After we closed our account with them over the tax fiasco, Mr. Freeman assured me in an email that all withdrawals had stopped; however, another withdrawal happened on the first of the following month. When I called the office to request a refund and (once again) stop withdrawals, I was told that I'd receive a refund in 3-5 business days. When no refund was processed, I called the office and they transferred me to Brian. Brian stated that a check had been issued days after the 3-5 business day window had ended and that they can't figure out why withdrawals are still happening. He had an unwelcoming tone and a flippant attitude about the firm's issues. My refund of the money taken out of my business account has still not been received. I currently have little faith that an accountant who has no respect for punctuality or number accuracy and is also unable to control withdrawals from individual business accounts will successfully cancel the subscription service. Do not trust this firm. If there was an option to award zero stars, I would have chosen it.
