We quickly provided everything he requested. He was shocked we had more supportive documentation than needed, and far more than he believed we could provide. After providing the information requested, we called a few times with questions and further information we thought might be helpful, which seemed annoying to him. We provided support a few more we originally thought weren't deductible. He was shocked, and definitely not pleased. IRS responded with a tax refund instead of the bill for past due tax, penalties, and interest he warned would happen. His only response was a warning to save the refunded money because we would be hearing from IRS again demanding repayment of the wrongful refund along with a bill for past due taxes, interest and penalty he had determined. Fearing the worst, we did as he suggested. Thankfully, we had no more contact from IRS.

Communication problems occurred concerning mailings, emails, and telephone calls. Follow through was lacking such that there was uncertainty as to what information was needed, what documents were received, or not, and when and what documents were mailed and when. Mark chose to fire us as clients rather than sit down and talk through the issues that were occurring. We felt like we just weren't worth bothering with.
