I agree with Abigail L. In my experience, Brian did not provide the level of representation or…read morecommunication I expected from an attorney handling such an important matter. I was sued in 2021 and filed counterclaims that same year. My counterclaims were later dismissed without what I believed was clear written confirmation or authorization from me approving that action, which I felt placed my case at significant risk. When I later asked about refiling, I was told to "wait until October," but I did not receive a detailed explanation regarding the significance of that timeline or the potential consequences of waiting. After seeking a second opinion, the new attorney I hired advised me that I had approximately one year from the November dismissal date to refile the case in order to preserve the deposition testimony and evidence previously obtained by my original attorney, who could no longer represent me due to a career change. My understanding was that missing that deadline could have limited the use of previously gathered evidence and negatively affected my ability to defend my case. Fortunately, I retained another attorney who successfully handled the matter and ultimately helped me obtain a dismissal with prejudice and a default judgment on the opposing party's counterclaims, despite previously being told the case would be difficult or unlikely to succeed. Based on my personal experience, I would not hire Brian again. I felt the representation resulted in unnecessary time, expense, and stress, and I believe my case was placed at unnecessary risk.

I found it odd that he never gave any honest assessment of opposing counsel. But before that, he falsely led me on a fishing expedition over some issue that was completely irrelevant to my case...maybe to add billable hours...I'm not sure. He turns on the drop of a dime. Would not trust him as he is dishonest and did not care for his winey, dramatic demeanor at the end. Other attorneys have mentioned how annoyed they were when having to deal with him. Either you need to watch carefully the hours that he bills or simply Don't trust him with your case!

Aaron Gardner is an excellent attorney. Because he is in Oklahoma and I am in California, we accomplished this via email and phone calls. I was impressed that he usually returned emails within a few hours, and was always available by phone. He is very professional, knows the law, and has strong personal skills to deal with difficult people. His hourly rates are *very* reasonable, and he doesn't inflate the hours he works or pad his bill with phony research. As an attorney who reviews the bills of other attorneys as part of my job, I know this is a common problem with attorneys who are not ethical, and I was impressed that the hours he billed sometimes seemed like less than he actually must have spent on a matter. He sent me copies of all of the documents he prepared, and they were consistently first rate work. I was so impressed with the estate work he did that I consulted him on a real estate sale matter, and found his strategic advice on negotiations to be excellent. He didn't hesitate to tell me when he thought I was about to make a negotiating mistake, and his review of documents caught important points that my own review didn't catch. He's one of those rare people who is both detail oriented *and* can keep an eye on the big issues so the client doesn't get "lost in the weeds". Also, when I asked him questions about areas of the law that were *not* in his field, he didn't pretend to know the answer, but offered to consult informally with other attorneys who specialized in that type of law. This worked out very well, giving us the benefit of some "big firm expertise" without the big firm bill. If I ever have legal matters in Oklahoma again, I will definitely consult Aaron, knowing that he will do a first rate legal job for me at a very reasonable fee.
