I was quoted 1350 for the work. The contractor came and took 4 hours to remove the drywall (it should have taken no more than an hour)...then he said they would be finishing the work with someone else. He was cleaning up and I was waiting for him to let me know the next steps....HE HAD ALREADY LEFT. I wait a couple days, giving them time to follow up and let me know when they will finish the work. Instead they send me an email asking for the bill to be paid. I tell them the work was not done. They give me some bullshit about mould removal....there was no mould. They left the debris behind for me to dispose of. They left a giant hole in my ceiling, then they had the nerve to ask me if I would like a quote to fix the hole. To be clear, I paid $325 an hour for them to remove 6x6 feet of drywall. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

Because the house was in the middle of a move, it took me about 2-3 weeks to confirm that these items were not misplaced. Once it became clear they were missing, I contacted the company manager. His response was simply that his employees are "honest," and he refused to take any responsibility or investigate. The items were in the house before the cleaning and gone afterward. No other workers or visitors were present during that period. I do not expect the items back, but I am posting this to warn future customers: Do not leave valuables unattended. Check every room and every item immediately after this company leaves your home. Based on my experience and the company's dismissive response, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

In all, we contacted nine different HVAC companies (from Spencerville to Kingston), but none of them really impressed us with their knowledge or their commitment, and we were reluctant to hire any of them to install a heat pump in our century-old home. An associate of my wife's family recommended Stuart Heating & Cooling in Prescott, so I sent a message to Al Stuart, the owner of the company and he came to our house in early May 2024. After inspecting the oil-fired furnace and the ductwork that we had in place, he spoke confidently about the sizing of the new heat pump and the modifications (trunk line, cold air returns & branch runs) that would be required to ensure that the heat pump functioned properly in our century-old home.
